Just got subscripted to donbest - How to structure the 1H lines information?
Only place were I find the 1H lines for totals were in line history, structured with line moves throughout the day, same as for covers. I can only look at one day at the time, is this the only way to grab the 1H numbers to save the page as csv or txt-file? Maybe I were in Peter pan land when I thought I could download a zip-file with old 1H lines!

I just have 5 days so want to be as efficient as possible, so saving every gameday from pinnacle in csv or txt, seems like the only approach at this time when collecting the info?

This is the first mission here, to gather the info. The second is to manage it and structure it with just a opener and a closer for the games and to see with onces went over or under the 1H total.

How can I download their historical info for lines, scores, totals, etc...?
I have pretty good statistical analysis software but still cannot find data extracts for past 10 years in MLB, NBA, NFL. Someone mentioned donbest have all this and I signed up for a free trial but cannot find the information.

retrosheets.org have a lot of valuable mlb stats... does the java platform start when login at donbest?

If so then click on the grey headers and a new page will come up in your browser

I really like retrosheets for the fact that I can download 10 season with stats in just one click, pretty hard to beat that, then comes the hard part to use it

If you go to http://www.donbest.com/site-map/ and click 'Opening/Closing Lines' under 'Subscriber Tools', you only get the opener and the closer, not all the moves in between. The output you get once you pick which sportsbook you want, the sport, and the date range is a regular HTML table; you should be able to copy the entire table and paste it into Excel. It should come out properly formatted then.

3-01: a spread like this would mean +3 at -101
and 96u13 would mean 96 under at +113

So that last two numbers are the cents?

the column in grey I posted? .. I checked out the link martin gave and that worked fine, one problem though:

the results for 1 game is in 2 rows:

                    Score(D) DATE GAMENUMBER UNDERDOG Closer1H(Spread)
                    Score(F) TIME GAMENUMBER FAVORITE Closer1H(totals)

So not sure how to search this later on, If I search for say Cleveland as hometeam, then I will see The totals but not the spread for them

yes, that's why you need to split column and merge cells in order to get the spread, total and price in separate columns

You can put them into one row pretty easily...for example, suppose:
                        Cell A1 has the date
Cell B1 has the road rotation #
Cell C1 has the road team name
Cell D1 has the spread or the total (depending on which team is the favorite)
                        Cell A2 has the time
Cell B2 has the home rotation #
Cell C2 has the home team name
Cell D2 has the spread or the total (depending on which team is the favorite)

                        In Cell E1, enter '=A2'
                        In Cell F1, enter '=B2'
                        In Cell G1, enter '=C2'
                        In Cell H1, enter '=D2'

Paste the code from cells E1, F1, G1 and H1 into E3, F3, G3, and H3, and so on, so every other row also has the data from the row below it.

                        Edit > Cut everything from columns E, F, G and H.

Edit > Paste Values (or Edit > Paste Special > Values) back into the same cells you just cut the data from.

Sort the spreadsheet by column H, so that all of the rows with all the data from a game are at the top of the spreadsheet, and all the rows with only half the data from a game are at the bottom of the spreadsheet.

Delete all the rows with only half the data. Now you have each game's data on only one row.

I agree Sir that nothing beats hard work, but someone already did all the hard work (me) as I have all NBA 1H lines (and more) from the 1991-92 season through 2009-10 (19 seasons)...

Maybe I can post a one season sample here so people can see the format I have it in, but I don't know if attachments like that are allowed here or if my Excel file might be too big to attach...

That sounds great, yer you can attach a excel file, have seen a couple of threads in here with attachments.. How did you gather all this info, is there a quicker way for me to gather it then just saving one html page at a time?

Thanks Martin thought about doing this, a lot of work if one would want to structure +10 seasons, but then again solid information doesn't come easy, glad people here can help out at stage A, so I can focus directly in stage B - the working part

I gathered it over time from personal records that I have been keeping in Excel for several years and I did set up a spreadsheet in Excel and entered manually whatever scattered lines I happened to be missing from DonBest and other sites...
