I just wanted to know if anyone thought it was easier to bet O/U on a game than it is to bet against the spread.

I guess I just wonder what pros take into consideration in an O/U. I rarely pick one because I never feel an advantage one way or the other

Totals are easier, that's why the limits are lower.

there's formulas that pros can concoct for over/unders that can be very accurate.

I disagree. I've tailed several cappers here on SBR and else where and have seen 100% of them (yes, 100%) do better ATS compared with plays on totals. ie Joe Handicapper that typically hits 54% of his sides only hits 51% of his totals. I've seen this trend with every capper and in any sport. I've been trying to determine why this is the way it is, but can't for the life of me, figure it out. Results don't lie. However, my results only span across a year's worth of data, so sample size is an issue.

Anyone here actually hit their totals at a higher clip than their side plays? I'd really like to know.

My CBB Totals are close to 60% this season, and there are others (Right Angle comes to mind) that come to mind that CRUSH Totals on college sports, where the totals are softer.

                  Fact. RAS dominates totals.

Totals are the easiest to hit once you find them, problem is that it's hard to find an off lines since no one bets them. That is also why limits are lower.

Baseball totals are my highest EV play of any sport...and it's not close.

I have been killing it with totals lately. I've been using a formula a guy uses that has been hitting crazy, over 70% I used to feel the same way about totals, just a coin flip. Now I wonder why anyone would bet anything else. I will say finding & playing unders is a key! I hate playing an over in college hoops like I hate playing an under in the NFL

Totals are a smaller market. If you do the work, totals are easier to beat.

that really depends on the strenght of the play....

I have done really well with NHL and NBA over/unders... and ATS

But I have found very profitable situations when you concentrate

                              on Home Over
                              Home Under

                              Away Over
                              Away Under

and the same applies to Home and Away ATS records
