NBA - First score of the game - 2pt, 3pt or FT?
Does anyone have a stat on first score of the game in NBA?

How often is it a 2ptr, 3 ptr, or FT?

I think I may have found some value in one of the UK books.

    Thanks for your help,

Always go with a 2pter for first score of the game... Don't really have any hard data for you, sorry. But seriously, it's usually a nice lil drive, dish and jumper. Or drive, dish and layup. Either way, with 2pters accounting for the majority of shots taken, you cannot go wrong taking that.

However tonite, maybe treat yourself to the first bucket being a Rashard Lewis 3...

I do get what you mean...

This book had -175 last game, now -200 for 2 pt shot in this one.

I still think there's value there... and I like your logic... it usually is a quick lil dish or short shot to get on the board.

Edit: Took out a typo Mr Mod

        What's the price for a 3?

It may be worth a few clams on a 3 tonite...

hehe thanks man I thought I was gonna change my name to Claire Voyant for a moment... but he missed

I sent 82games.com an email to see if they could run the numbers and figure out the %'s, he said they'll put it in the suggestion box as it could easily be done.

Guys, if you wanna bet a prop such as this you need to either find a really stupid line posted by an small bookie that has no clue, or have some information that you believe will increase the chance that first score of the game is actually of either FT, 2p or 3p.

The bookies, if not completly retarded (and they are not), will just base the prop odds on the avg chance of first scores possibly correcting for basic team specific factors. Then add -115 juice and I honestly doubt that there can be value in such a bet.

Yeah, a bet like this is just for fun. I hope he didn't put much on it.

You know what's gonna happen tho, right? Since he bet a 3 last time. He will be safe and pick a 2pter this time and then Rashard will open up with a 3.

Hopefully not tho, but that's the kind of thing that happens to me...

Lol, no way I'm backing -250 for a 2 ptr...

I just wasn't sure about this prop.... it seems like something new this bookie tried out for Finals...

                              First score of the game:

                              Game 1: 2 ptr was -175
                              Game 2: 2 ptr was -200
                              Game 3: 2ptr was -250....

It's a money pit, and Im sure at -175 there was value... not sure about now at -250.
