      Does it offer anything more than what is offered here: http://www.football-data.co.uk/ ?

        HUY this scraping program is pretty similar to that. Of course mine puts it into a real DB which is easier to do powerful manipulation on than excel or a textfile but besides that pretty similar.

              Then we can just use the data at football-data and move them into a database if we so wish.

                      Or we can use 339955's program without messing with the football-data site.

                      Let's see it 339955.

                          i dunno HUY is probably right. to run my program you would need to install python 2.7 and a couple of python 2.7 libraries like BeautifulSoup which would take some time.

                                I don't need your program. I just don't like the idea of giving fish instead of fishing rod. There's a sticked thread on research, everyone can follow steps and learn how to program such scripts on his own.

                                      He posted his script for doing this on another website, I've included it below.

                                      Code:
                                      [COLOR=#00008B][FONT=lucida typewriter]#!/usr/bin/env python
                                      [/FONT][/COLOR][COLOR=#00008B][FONT=lucida typewriter]print "Content-type: text/html\n\n"[/FONT][/COLOR]
