Patriots | Benjamin Watson to be suspended

New England Patriots TE Benjamin Watson said he will be suspended for the first four games of the 2019 season because he failed a drug test this offseason.
Footballguys view: Watson said he took performance enhancers when he was retired, and the Patriots knew about the suspension when they signed him. While Watson is suspended, the team will turn to guys like Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Matt LaCosse at the tight end position.

Cowboys | Allen Hurns likely back during camp
Dallas Cowboys WR Allen Hurns (ankle, leg) should return to the practice field at some point during training camp. Head coach Jason Garrett said Hurns has made good progress in his rehab.
Footballguys view: Hurns was injured in the Cowboys Wild Card Round victory over the Seahawks back in January. He's been on the road to recovery ever since and has been held out of OTAs as expected and planned. We'll see Hurns compete with free agent addition Randall Cobb for the No. 3 WR spot during training camp.

Watson a TE Sleeper with Gronk Retired?

Patriots | Benjamin Watson has chance at incentives
New England Patriots TE Benjamin Watson will still have a chance to earn extra money via incentives despite his four-game suspension for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing drugs. He will receive $250,000 if he participates in 35 percent of the team's offensive snaps, and another $400,000 if he makes it to 45 percent. He needs to play roughly 66 percent of the snaps in the 12 games he is eligible to earn full incentives.

          Wednesday Update

LAR - RB Todd Gurley working out at team facility

          Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Charean Williams

Updating a previous report, Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley (knee) has been a regular at the team facility this offseason, according to head coach Sean McVay, despite his absence from organized team activities (OTAs) Tuesday, May 28.

          [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gurley's knee was problematic last year towards the end of the regular season and in the playoffs. We should see Gurley get more of a breather this year with guys like Malcolm Brown or Darrell Henderson getting a big of work running the rock. McVay added the team plans to hold Gurley out of practice in the offseason. We'd speculate the team limits Gurley in the preseason schedule too.

LAR - No sign of RB Todd Gurley at OTAs

          Source: ESPN.com - Lindsey Thiry

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley (knee) was not on the field as the team kicked off its second week of organized team activities Tuesday, May 28.

          [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gurley's knee became a big problem at the end of the 2018 season and in the postseason, leading to C.J. Anderson emerging as their most productive back. Anderson is gone to the Lions, so the Rams are looking at Malcolm Brown and rookie Darrell Henderson as running back mates with Gurley. We love Gurley's ability but the role might be different this year if Brown or Henderson are mixed in a bit more. His current ADP is RB7 (1.10) in 12-team PPR leagues and at that price point we're looking elsewhere.

JAX - QB Nick Foles absent

          Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Nick Foles is absent from organized team activities Tuesday, May 28, for personal reasons.

          [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

No word yet on why Foles is missing time, but no timetable has been given for his return according to Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone. Mike Garafolo, from NFL Network, has reported that Foles could return by the end of the week. Stay tuned.

TEN - QB Marcus Mariota checking in around 230

          Source: PaulKuharsky.com - Paul Kuharsky

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota currently weighs about 230 pounds - reportedly 12 or 13 pounds more from where he ended last season.

          [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Mariota is adding body armor in an effort to be more durable in 2019. He's always had some sort of issue that made him miss time in four seasons as a pro. Mariota has never played a full 16-game season and is in the final year of his rookie contract. His future with the team comes down to how he performs this season.

NO - New Orleans adds a pair of runners

Source: The Athletic - Larry Holder

Free-agent RB Javorius Allen (Ravens) and Matthew Dayes (49ers) signed undisclosed contracts with the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday, May 28. The Saints waived RB A.J. Ouellette and CB Jordan Wyatt to make room for them on the roster.

          [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Saints have added more talent to a running back room that has some interesting names behind superstar starter Alvin Kamara. Dayes is a change-of-pace back and Allen is a good receiving back as well. Latavius Murray is the most likely to win the No. 2 job behind Kamara in 2019. That makes guys like Dayes and Allen (plus Dwayne Washington, Devine Ozigbo) competing for the one of two spots behind Kamara and Murray.

NFL - RB Orleans Darkwa's recovery complete

          Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Free-agent RB Orleans Darkwa (Giants) is said to be '100 percent' recovered from a ruptured Achilles' tendon suffered in October 2018 and is looking to sign with a team.

          [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Darkwa worked out for the Jaguars last year when he was hurt. He's now looking for a fresh start and some team should take a chance on him. In 2017, Darkwa ran the ball 171 times for 751 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns for the Giants. He can give a team veteran depth and insurance at the position.

JAX - RB Alfred Blue misses practice

Source: The Florida Times-Union - Phillip Heilman

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Alfred Blue was absent from the team's OTA workouts Tuesday, May 28, for an unspecified, non-medical reason.

          [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Blue gets a fresh start this year with the Jaguars after some ups-and-downs with the Texans over the last few years. Behind starter Leonard Fournette, guys like Thomas Rawls, Benny Cunningham, Ryquell Armstead and Blue will compete to establish a pecking order. If healthy, Blue might win the backup job to Fournette. This is a competition Fantasy GMs need to be dialed in on due to Fournette's history of nagging injuries that force him to miss time.

PHI - Miles Sanders not practicing

Source: Philadelphia Inquirer - Zach Berman

Philadelphia Eagles RB Miles Sanders (undisclosed) reportedly has yet to participate in organized team activities, according to Zach Berman of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

          [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The rookie from Penn State is an exciting prospect we're monitoring in dynasty formats. We'd be more excited if he was out there learning the Eagles offense. The second-round pick can work well in a RBBC with Jordan Howard in 2019. We're looking forward to seeing his progress in training camp and the preseason.

CAR - QB Cam Newton absent

          Source: Panthers.com - Max Henson

Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton is absent from organized team activities Tuesday, May 28, in what has been deemed a personal day.

          [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Just a personal day means no big deal here. Newton underwent shoulder surgery in January and wants to resume throwing before training camp. He has suffered no setbacks during his recovery but the Panthers are wisely being safe during his return.

              Thursday Update

BUF - Jason Croom misses practice

              Source: WKBW.com - Joe Buscaglia

Buffalo Bills TE Jason Croom (hamstring) did not participate in practice Tuesday, May 28, because of a hamstring injury

              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Croom was banged up quite a bit in college at Tennessee, and we'll see if this hamstring injury lingers for the super-sized wide receiver playing tight end. Tyler Kroft (foot) got banged up earlier this offseason, and this has given rookie Dawson Knox plenty of opportunity to showcase his talent in Bills OTAs.

IND - QB Andrew Luck remains sidelined

              Source: ESPN.com - Mike Wells

Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck (calf) will not participate in practices this week because of his calf injury, according to head coach Frank Reich.

              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It doesn't seem like a big deal, but Luck's injury history makes us keep an extra careful eye on the situation. The Colts are doing the same thing. Reich said Luck could play if the team had a game this weekend, but the team wants to be cautious with the injury.

IND - WR Deon Cain continues to make progress

Source: 1070 The Fan - Kevin Bowen

Indianapolis Colts WR Deon Cain (knee) said he is able to run routes as part of his rehab.

              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

A sixth-round pick out of Clemson in 2018, Cain's rookie season was cut short in August last year. He's been recovering ever since then and may not be ready until the midway point of the 2019 regular season. We love his upside in dynasty formats if you play in crazy deep leagues.

CHI - TE Trey Burton to miss workouts

              Source: NFL.com - Kevin Patra

Chicago Bears TE Trey Burton (hernia) will not participate in the offseason workouts because he is recovering from sports hernia surgery he had a few months ago.

              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The potential is there with Burton...it always has been, but the kid needs to stay healthy. The team believes Burton will be back in time for training camp. We'll see if he can build on his chemistry with QB Mitchell Trubisky in his second season. Burton has a current ADP of TE18 (13.11) in 12-team PPR leagues.

JAX - WR Terrelle Pryor working out for Jaguars

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Free-agent WR Terrelle Pryor (Bills) is working out for the Jacksonville Jaguars Wednesday, May 29, according to sources.

              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Pryor has struggled to stay healthy and impress since his breakout season with the Browns back in 2016. He's bounced around to three different teams since that time and has only played in 17 games since then. We'll see if he can show that he's healthy and still get a shot with the Jaguars or some other team in the NFL.

TB - WR Breshad Perriman out with shoulder injury

Source: The Athletic - Greg Auman

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Breshad Perriman (shoulder) has been out the last two weeks due to a shoulder injury.

              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

There has been some positive buzz about Perriman since he gets a fresh start with the Buccaneers. Reports swirled about his connection with QB Jameis Winston and things were looking up for the first-round bust (Ravens, 2015). Now, the injury bug is back at it with Perriman. It doesn't sound like a major injury but it is taking him out of action as he competes for the No. 3 wide receiver job with the Buccaneers.

TB - WR Mike Evans held out with injury

Source: The Athletic - Greg Auman

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (undisclosed) hasn't taken part in organized team activities due to an undisclosed injury.

              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The word is that Evans should be held out of minicamp. That means we'll see him when training camp rolls around. The injury is undisclosed so nothing specific to watch for here, other than his participation when he gets back to practice. Evans is WR8 (2.08) in 12-team PPR leagues.

PHI - Four RBs for one spot in Philly?

              Source: NJ.com - Mike Kaye

Philadelphia Eagles RBs Wendell Smallwood, Josh Adams, Boston Scott and Donnel Pumphrey are likely competing for the team's fourth and final backfield spot, in the opinion of NJ.com's Mike Kaye. The three likely locks are RBs Jordan Howard, Miles Sanders and Corey Clement.

              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Eagles have an interesting mix of the four backs likely competing for one spot. Adams is your classic banger who got some work for them last year down the stretch. Smallwood has the experience edge and is an all-purpose back who can be used as a runner or receiver out of the backfield. We'll see how this competition shakes out in training camp.

OAK - Josh Jacobs gets first-team reps

Source: Las Vegas Review-Journal - Michael Gehlken

Oakland Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (hamstring) received some first-team reps on Tuesday, May 28, as the team continues to ease him back into action during OTAs following a hamstring injury.

              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jacobs is the player to watch in the Raiders backfield. Veteran Doug Martin returned to the team but we think Jacobs earns a majority of the work if he performs well in training camp and the preseason. Fantasy GMs are anxiously waiting for Jacobs to do his thing in 2019. Jacobs has a current ADP of RB17 (3.06) in 12-team PPR leagues.

OAK - TE Darren Waller making early impression

Source: NBC Sports Bay Area - Scott Bair

Oakland Raiders TE Darren Waller is the main reason why the team was content to let Jared Cook leave in free agency, and Waller has 'responded well to a golden opportunity to kick-start his career' so far during organized team activities, according to NBC Sports Bay Area's Scott Bair.

              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Raiders let Jared Cook go in free agency this offseason, so they're looking for a new lead tight end. Waller is a converted wide receiver who creates mismatch problems any time he's on the field. We'll be monitoring the news about him coming out of Oakland and have been watching Waller in dynasty formats for some time. Veteran Luke Willson and rookie Foster Moreau will compete with Waller for snaps/targets in 2019.

PHI - Miles Sanders out of action

              Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Updating a previous report, Philadelphia Eagles RB Miles Sanders (hamstring) has missed time in organized team activities due to a strained hamstring, but it's not considered serious.

              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's not serious but Sanders has yet to participate in OTAs. We like the rookie's upside as a change-of-pace back working with Jordan Howard in a RBBC this year. Fantasy GMs are currently taking Sanders (RB30, 6.05) over Howard (RB37, 8.03) in 12-team PPR leagues.

SEA - Seattle signs Marcelias Sutton

              Source: Seahawks.com - John Boyle

Undrafted free-agent RB Marcelias Sutton (Oklahoma) signed with the Seattle Seahawks Wednesday, May 29. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. The team also waived/injured RB Adam Choice (undisclosed).

              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sutton participated in Seattle's rookie minicamp as a tryout player earlier this month. A junior college transfer (Lackawanna College), Sutton had 282 rushing yards and four touchdowns in two seasons with the Sooners. His senior season was cut short after six games due to a leg injury. He can contribute as a runner, receiver or return man.

LAR - RB Todd Gurley slimming down

                Source: NFL.com - Steve Wyche

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley (knee) reportedly plans on playing about six pounds lighter this season, according to NFL Network's Steve
                Wyche.

                [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The reduced weight could be better for his knee in 2019. Gurley wore down late last season and wasn't himself when he returned for the Rams in the
postseason. The weight is one thing, but the Rams should also use a little bit more of guys like Malcolm Brown or rookie Darrell Henderson just to give Gurley a breather.

                HOU - Jordan Thomas impressing

                Source: HoustonTexans.com - Deepi Sidhu

Houston Texans TE Jordan M. Thomas has made eye-popping and leaping catches during organized team activities. Thomas, who switched to tight end from wide receiver as a rookie last year, has had a strong offseason.

                [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Thomas was a converted wide receiver from Mississippi State as a rookie in 2018, and he is still learning the position. He's a huge prospect, measuring in at 6'6" 280 pounds and knows how to use his size as an advantage. A sixth-round pick for the Texans in 2018, Thomas recorded 20 catches for 215 receiving yards and four touchdowns. The upside is there for him to do a lot more. We're monitoring him in dynasty formats and in re-draft leagues, Thomas could be a TE3 with TE2 upside in 2019.

GB - RB Aaron Jones cuts body fat in half

Source: Packers News - Ryan Wood and Jim Owczarski

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones checked into the team's off-season program with a 5.3 percent body fat, down from roughly 11 percent last season, while maintaining his usual weight of 204 to 205 pounds. He made the transformation by removing chips, candy, cookies, soda and Gatorade from his diet.

                [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fantasy GMs are excited about Jones this year. In the new Matt LaFluer offense, Jones could do a lot of damage as a runner or receiver. His current ADP is RB19 (3.11) in 12-team PPR leagues.

KC - RB Damien Williams locked in as starter

Source: 610 Sports KC - Brandon Kiley

Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams is 'our starter' and someone the team expects to 'excel in that role,' according to offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy.

                [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Williams can do some good things as a runner and a receiver out of the backfield. Fantasy GMs are excited about what he can do in 2019. Williams is currently going off the board at RB13 (2.10) in 12-team PPR leagues. Don't forget about Carlos Hyde, his likely backup this season. If Williams falters or gets banged up, Hyde could step in and take over. At the least, Hyde is a valuable handcuff for Fantasy GMs who play in deeper leagues.

CLE - WR Jarvis Landry likely to miss minicamp

Source: The Chronicle-Telegram - Scott Petrak

Cleveland Browns WR Jarvis Landry (undisclosed) is expected to miss minicamp next week because of an undisclosed injury, according to head coach Freddie Kitchens. Kitchens said Landry's absence will be precautionary.

                [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's an undisclosed injury so who knows what Landry is dealing with. The team is going to be cautious but we should see Landry when training camp gets here in late July.

BUF - Two TEs splitting first-team snaps

                Source: WKBW.com - Joe Buscaglia

Buffalo Bills TEs Lee Smith and Dawson Knox shared snaps with the first-team offense during practice Tuesday, May 28, because TE Tyler Kroft (foot) and TE Jason Croom (hamstring) are dealing with injuries.

                [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Bills tight end room is really banged up right now. Smith is a big-bodied blocker but Knox is the intriguing receiving option here. The rookie from Ole Miss can get open and be a threat over the middle of the field. We'll watch him in dynasty formats.

Free-agent RB Darren Sproles (Eagles) has yet to decide about his playing future after previously saying a few months ago he intended to make up his mind sometime in May.

ESPN's Adam Schefter recently told 97.5 The Fanatic he believes Sproles will ideally play somewhere he's played before (Philadelphia Eagles, New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Chargers).

Free-agent WR Terrelle Pryor (Bills) signed a one-year contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars Thursday, May 30. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Pryor had a breakout season with the Browns but that seems like eons ago. It was 2016 and Pyror is now on his fourth team since then. There's a chance he could make the team as a fourth or fifth option for the Jaguars.

Miami Dolphins RB Mark Walton has 'a real chance to beat out seventh-round pick Myles Gaskin for the No. 3 job' and 'impressed as a receiver during OTA sessions,' according to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.

                [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Walton is a talented and natural runner. We'll monitor him in dynasty formats so long as he stays out of trouble off the field.

LAR - RB Todd Gurley unlikely to play in preseason

                    Source: ESPN.com - Lindsey Thiry

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley likely will not see any playing time during the preseason, according to general manager Les Snead.

                    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The mystery around Todd Gurley continues. The knee problem he had at the end of last year has impacted the way the team is treating him this offseason. They may use more Malcolm Brown or Darrell Henderson this season when Gurley needs a breather. He's trimmed down his weight and now the team isn't going to use him in the preseason. Gurley is at RB7 right now in 12-team PPR leagues and this news may drop his ADP slightly.

NYJ - TE Chris Herndon generating excitement

Source: New York Post - Brian Costello

New York Jets TE Chris Herndon looked 'really good' during organized team activities this week and 'can be a huge red-zone weapon for Darnold and new coach Adam Gase,' according to Brian Costello of the New York Post. Gase called Herndon a 'unicorn type player' in March and seems excited about what he can do with him inside his offense, per Costello.

                    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Herndon has some upside and we saw him earn the trust of QB Sam Darnold a year ago. He's facing a suspension from the league after pleading to DWI back in January. Herndon finished as the No. 15 fantasy tight end in 2018 and has a current ADP of TE20 (14.04). We like what everyone is saying about him this offseason but need to see how many games he's suspended for.

Cleveland Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. is missing 'a lot' while absent from organized team activities, according to head coach Freddie Kitchens.

Beckham has attended only one of the nine OTAs for the Browns this offseason. When the work becomes mandatory, Beckham will be in the building. With Jarvis Landry out with an undisclosed (but reportedly minor) injury, QB Baker Mayfield has been throwing to backup-caliber receivers every day in camp. Mandatory minicamp for the Browns is June 4-6 and we expect Beckham will be in attendance.

Smith, a 2019 second-round pick out of Alabama, has the versatility to play tight end, H-back or fullback. He's got a comparable skill set to a player like Delanie Walker. We'll see how much of a role Smith gets as a rookie, and at this time he's behind Kyle Rudolph on the depth chart at the tight end position. No word yet on if the Vikings will trade Rudolph or lower his cap number with an extension. Stay tuned.

IND - TE Jack Doyle could be cleared soon

Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle (kidney, hip) is running and has introduced position-specific movements - such as cutting - into his rehab.

It will be good to get Doyle back out there. Even with Eric Ebron as the Colts top tight end, Doyle is a valuable asset to the team...but his fantasy stock is much lower than it once was. General manager Chris Ballard recently indicated Doyle might be cleared to practice by mid-June and should be ready for training camp.

CAR - Pay cut for WR Torrey Smith

                    Source: ESPN.com - Field Yates

Carolina Panthers WR Torrey Smith has agreed to take a $2 million pay cut, according to a source.

Smith was on the books for $5 million in 2019 with zero in dead money. Now he's going to make $2 million as a base salary with another $1 million in bonuses. Smith can still get by a defense in a hurry but likely won't be more than a deep threat for the Panthers offense in 2019.

                        Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban

Arizona Cardinals RB David Johnson said he optimistic about the offense head coach Kliff Kingsbury is bringing to the team. He believes he can have a similar season in 2019 than he did in 2016 when he posted more than 2,000 total yards.

                        [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Having a season like 2016 would be welcome news for Fantasy GMs. Johnson was the No. 1 fantasy running back that year with over 2,000 total yards and 17 touchdowns. This offense is going to be shotgun heavy (exclusive?) and that is a bit more difficult to run out of than a traditional offense. Johnson does have a current ADP of RB6 (1.07) in 12-team PPR leagues.

Cleveland Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. indicated that he will participate in the mandatory minicamp next week.

                        [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Beckham only showed up to one voluntary workout, but he was always going to be there for mandatory work. He is ready to prove any doubters wrong and gel with his new quarterback. Fantasy GMs are excited about Beckham's upside this year. He's going off the board at WR5 (2.02) in 12-team PPR leagues.

Baltimore Ravens WR Miles Boykin (hamstring) is nearing his return from a hamstring injury that has sidelined him during OTAs.

                        [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Good news for the rookie receiver here. Boykin has a ton of speed and could turn into a favorite deep target of QB Lamar Jackson. He's got rare size and length for the position and knows how to track passes downfield and win contested catches. We are very interested in Boykin in dynasty formats.

MIN - WR Jordan Taylor could be third receiver

Source: Minneapolis Star Tribune - Andrew Krammer

Minnesota Vikings WR Jordan Taylor is the 'one to watch' for the team's third receiver spot, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune's Andrew Krammer, who notes Taylor's familiarity with assistant head coach Gary Kubiak, who is helping offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski overhaul the offense.

                        [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Taylor has always been an interesting deep dynasty prospect because of his size/speed combination. He didn't do much with the Broncos but he was buried on the depth chart. He's taking advantage of his opportunity with the Vikings, even getting some first-team reps in OTAs. It's a story to monitor as training camp approaches.

Cleveland Browns RB Duke Johnson, who has not attended OTAs and has asked for a trade, is expected to attend mandatory minicamp, according to head coach Freddie Kitchens.

                        [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

With mandatory minicamp comes fines, and Johnson is unlikely to miss time primarily because of that. Johnson, if not traded before the start of the season, would be the change-of-pacer back for the Browns behind starter Nick Chubb. That is until Kareem Hunt gets back from his 8-game suspension.

CLE - Dontrell Hilliard the third-down back?

Source: Canton Repository - Steve Doerschuk

Cleveland Browns RB Dontrell Hilliard will be able to fill the role of third-down back if RB Duke Johnson's contract dispute turns into a long-term issue, according to running backs coach Stump Mitchell. 'Dontrell has played some receiver, which is making him very valuable to this team,' Mitchell said. 'He can do everything well.'

                        [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Undrafted out of Tulane in 2018, Hilliard has been waiting for his opportunity on the team's practice squad. Hilliard has receiving ability and has even been lining up at receiver during Browns OTAs. He wasn't a dynamic receiver in college, but more of a solid all-around back who doesn't stand out in any one category. Hilliard must be impressing his coaching staff, so continue monitoring him in super deep dynasty formats.

Baltimore Ravens RB Kenneth Dixon (undisclosed) has been unable to participate in OTAs this week because of an undisclosed injury.

                        [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Dixon being banged up is nothing new. There is no word on what this injury is, so it's difficult to speculate how long he's going to be out. Free agent addition Mark Ingram should be the Ravens lead back in 2019. Gus Edwards, rookie Justice Hill and Dixon (when healthy) will compete to establish a pecking order behind Ingram.
