Is everyone in the league ok with Doug Baldwin being dropped for Dante Pettis? I know hes injured but an outright drop has me scratching my head, when Baldwin is only out for 2-4 weeks, this makes zero sense to me. I just noticed this and someone already strong picked him up for free.

IDK, Baldwin is not a guy I would put on the "Can't Cut List" IMO

Yes he was on waivers since last Friday, anyone could have put a bid in for him. He didn't clear waivers till today.

There was no benefit to either party of dropping him or adding him that was unusual. Rules are clearly stated.

People could try and say someone is crying all they want, I'm 2-0 in this league. I'm pointing out something out of the ordinary and asking the league what they think of this. The reason I ask is because depending on what spot the person who picked up had the wavier this could be considered collusion if you had the #1 waiver at time, it also looks even more suspect given that both parties involved in this ordeal posted in this thread 2 minutes apart when I asked about this hours ago. I'm not saying that this is even true, just pointing out what I have seen so far. Plus I'm free to ask what I wan't.

Well if he was on since friday thats whoever is playing not paying attention to what is going on. Thats on the player not the game.

Just curious for myself in league 1 is it the same way? I thought after the games started on sunday all players are locked in until wed waivers never mind didn't matter because baldwin didn't play until last night so thats why he was available

I don't get the issue? Baldwin is/was not on the cannot cut list so owner was free to drop him. And he did not clear waivers until Monday, so everyone had opportunity to claim him if they chose to. I see no wrongdoing here.

Waiver rules are the same for all leagues. And if you claim a player that was just dropped during the non-waiver period, he is treated as a waiver for 2 days. So with Baldwin being dropped 14th, guys had until the 16th at 11:59pm PT to claim him.

EDIT: Sorry, guys actually had until 1:00pm ET to claim him because that is when waiver period starts. What I said would have applied if second day was a non-gameday.

Waiver period starts Sunday at 1:00pm ET. Pending waiver pick-ups from before that time are fine (as was the case here). The person that added Baldwin must have placed his claim before 1:00 Sunday.

I don’t think daze had the 1st waiver spot. Few other guys could have picked him up. Odd but maybe Drew is the type of player that likes taking shots on waiver wire guys and Baldwin is just a waste of bench spot at this time.

That is right. I didn't want Baldwin taking up a spot on the bench. Also just because Baldwin was a great ffl gem in the past it wont mean he will do that in the future. If you watched the game last night SEA looks is disarray.

There wasn't really an issue, I wanted to know what others here felt about this move. I wasn't the only one from the responses that thought this was off some. Given that you say there is no wrong doing and it was in the rules I guess there isn't more left to say.

In that case, I see nothing fishy with the move itself either. You are thinking of Baldwin as an upper echelon WR, but you cannot really think of him as that anymore this season. Not unlike somebody dropping Greg Olsen, who was Top 5 TE before getting hurt first game. Now he may be out "only" 5 weeks but his applied risk coming back without corrective surgery makes him justifiably droppable.

Looks like Evans gave you high score for the week. I really needed that TD to pull out a win in league II so losing out on the 600 pts doesn’t sting that much.
