SD - WR Keenan Allen going to IR

San Diego Chargers WR Keenan Allen (kidney) is being placed on the Reserve/Injured list with a lacerated kidney, according to sources.

Bad news for the Chargers here. Allen is expected to make a full recovery, but he will miss the rest of the season.

IND - Rob Chudzinski taking over as OC

Indianapolis Colts associate head coach Rob Chudzinski will take over the offensive coordinator duties with Pep Hamilton out.

Chudzinski did a good job with the Panthers as their offensive coordinator a few years ago. He'll take over an offense that has not one, but two talented tight ends and some talent at the wide receiver position. Too bad the offensive line isn't better as that seems to be the larger problem with Indy.

Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton was fired Tuesday, Nov. 3, according to sources.

Hamilton was part of the problem, but he was no way the entire cause of Indy's struggles. The offensive line is atrocious and QB Andrew Luck is likely more banged up than he's letting on. We'll see Rob Chudzinski take over as the OC for the Colts. His first task? Creating a gameplan to take on the dreaded Denver Broncos defense in Week 9....good luck.

SF - RB Pierre Thomas replacing RB Reggie Bush

San Francisco 49ers RB Pierre Thomas is essentially taking over for RB Reggie Bush (knee) as San Francisco's passing-down back. Thomas caught 45 passes last season, averaging 8.4 yards per catch.

Thomas could be the most fantasy relevant back with the 49ers, but that's not saying much. Carlos Hyde is dealing with a stress fracture in his foot, Reggie Bush is out for the year with a knee injury and Mike Davis needs surgery on his broken hand. We'll see how the time/touches are split in the backfield going forward, but we are avoiding the 49ers offense like the plague.

Randle was having personal problems, and he's always been a player who might have been on the edge of the roster...even when he was starting. His off-field issues and average skill set means Randle may have a difficult time finding a new job.

Updating a previous report, Baltimore Ravens WR Steve Smith (Achilles') has not made a final decision on his playing status for 2016.

Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson said he hasn't demanded a trade after the team has started the season as a disappointment, and he wants to win with the Lions. He wouldn't say whether his contract included a no-trade clause. 'I'm fortunate enough to play in this league, that the Lions took me where I'm at,' Johnson said. 'They brought me here and I have a great cast of teammates, you know, guys I have been playing with for a long time.'

It doesn't really matter...he's on the bench in favor of Blaine Gabbert. The former first-round pick of the Jaguars (2010) had a decent preseason for the 49ers, but he's long been known as a bad/inaccurate passer who "sees ghosts" o the field. That means Gabbert feels pressure (and reacts to it negatively) even when pressure isn't there.

Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns QB Josh McCown (ribs) said it will take him longer than a few days or weeks for his ribs to heal. Neither McCown nor head coach Mike Pettine are saying whether or not McCown's ribs are broken, but McCown is sore and having trouble breathing and sleeping.

He has not been ruled out, but his status for Week 9 isn't looking good. That means Johnny Manziel should start this week against the Bengals on Thursday night.

Luck is playing, so we aren't shocked he fully practiced though it's a good sign. Of course, he has a bad case of the mental yips as well and we don't believe those are all gone. Against the Denver defense and secondary, we would avoid Luck, playing him as a low-end QB2 only if we had to.

NYJ - QB Ryan Fitzpatrick won't be limited

New York Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (thumb) wore a protective glove on his left hand during practice Thursday, Nov. 5, and he will wear it again in Week 9 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Offensive coordinator Chan Gailey doesn't think Fitzpatrick will have major issues, so the team doesn't anticipate changing the game plan. Fitzpatrick will be able to take snaps under center and execute handoffs with his left hand.

Taking snaps under center and the handoffs were the biggest obstacle. We don't feel comfortable that he won't get his hand jacked up again and leave the game, and he could be without Eric Decker. Overall we see him as a low-end QB2 option and would look elsewhere if possible.

Hilton was in a boot during practice Thursday for his foot sprain. WRs Andre Johnson and Donte Moncrief are likely to see extra looks if Hilton sits out.

This isn't a great matchup for average receivers. Moncrief is no more than a WR4 against the powerful Denver secondary while Johnson is a WR5. Neither would be optimal for a lineup spot.

Chicago Bears TE Martellus Bennett has been less productive so far this year. He has only caught 13 passes the last three weeks and only caught three passes last week. Bennett said being asked to block has caused him to be less involved in the passing game.

The offense just hasn't flowed his way. However, if Matt Forte is out, Bennett could see an uptick in targets and we see him as a low-end TE1 this week, finally back on track.

We want to see Seferian-Jenkins play because we think he and Jameis Winston will be very effective, but we're concerned this shoulder issue could continue to linger. If he plays we feel he has TE2 potential—and could be a high end play at that level—but we would like to see a full practice also.

Anderson finally looked like his old self so getting this 'full practice' is good to see. The Colts can be run on and Denver finally seems to have remembered how to do that, so it's a great combination. We expect the Broncos to pound the ball, so Anderson is a solid RB2/RB3 candidate and Ronnie Hillman is a nice RB2 choice as well.

We actually think there will be plenty to eat for both Hillman and CJ Anderson, who is a borderline RB2/RB3 himself.

Miami Dolphins TE Jordan Cameron (hamstring) was a limited participant in practice Thursday, Nov. 5, after he injured his hamstring this week. Cameron's status for Week 9 against the Buffalo Bills is unknown. TE Dion Sims would step in as the primary tight end if Cameron doesn't play this weekend, and TEs Brandon Williams or Jake Stoneburner would fill in as the second tight end.

Cameron has been a bust of a signing for the Miami Dolphins and pretty much useless in fantasy. Even if he plays he's a TE3. Ironically, former Dolphin and current Bills tight end Charles Clay is a borderline TE1/TE2 this week.

Lots of people who got Diggs cheap and many daily fantasy players are anxious for him to fully practice as he has been a great value this year. The Rams don't possess a great secondary but do have a fierce front line while Minnesota's line is shaky. This isn't the best game for him to go into banged up but he just keeps on producing and Teddy Bridgewater loves to throw to him. If he plays, play him as a WR3 and you should be fine overall.

And then the guy pushed me, and I tried to stop myself and it like tweaked up a little bit on me.' 'It felt kind of like my ribs were broken,' Evans said, but the sharp pain steadily subsided.

If Watkins can get back out there, it will provide a boost for the Bills offense. QB Tyrod Taylor is returning this week, and it would greatly help him to have a weapon like Watkins on the field. Since Watkins is a game-time decision, we can't trust him as a starter this week. With six teams on bye, perhaps Watkins will have to make it into your lineup as some sort of "what the heck" flex.

We can only trust Cobb as a low-end WR2 or flex option this week.
