Tom Brady Reportedly Did Not Help His Cause in Appeal
I have thought all along that his suspension would be reduced to two games, but now it seems there is a chance he will serve all four games.

A league source tells Profootballtalk.com that Tom Brady "simply reiterated his denial" regarding involvement in or knowledge of deflating footballs during Tuesday's appeal with commissioner Roger Goodell, and "the answers were regarded by some in the room as not entirely credible."

Reports following Brady's meeting with Goodell indicated Tom Terrific gave an "A+ performance," but it seems league officials disagree. Brady reportedly attacked the Wells Report and stated he "didn't do anything wrong." PFT's Mike Florio -- a former attorney -- believes it is "unlikely" that Goodell will "fully exonerate" Brady, and may opt to uphold his four-game suspension.

sounds like most of my exams in school, where I felt, in a very "Brady-like" manner, that I had aced them, only to find out later that school officials vehemently disagreed.........

Time to see what Jimmy Garoppolo can do, or Matt Flynn.

He will play in week 1 regardless. NFLPA will file and injunction for a federal appeal like the guys in Minny with the starcaps years ago.

it should be reduced to two games or none. Im a patriots homer so I am bias I do think that this just opens the doors to many problems. Every coach is going to be asking about measuring the turf length and how dark the white lines are and how are they not going to check all the bullshit rules. this was a 25000 dollar fine up until this incident. The NFL hates the patriots cause they are the best team ever. end of story

Brady's whole career has more asterisks than an encrypted pass code.

They should be able add more games to his suspension. There is no downside to appealing. Its basically a freeroll along with a waste of time for the most part.

I always felt that way. It allows for fake indignation and grandstanding. I thought Shady Brady has the best defense attorney team in the history of attorneys.

The point of an appeal in any court is to overturn an unfavorable decision not to extend/raise the original decision.

This is the NFL, we all know they have their own set of rules. The possibility of increased punishment would eliminate all frivolous appeals, like this Brady one for instance.

or hoping the shark attack number hits 100 or so, once the nation is rivited by that, release immediately
Too big of a story to be buried in end of week news dump.

Best time to release the decision would be later this evening or on July 4th really from the NFL's standpoint.

seriously it wouldn't be that big of a deal until Monday and they could see what the reaction is going to be somewhat
