How are the 2 titles "probable" and "status update" different? It basically conveys the same message....

SO upgraded him to Probable shortly after I saw this on MONDAY:

Teddy Bridgewater's (ankle) MRI came back "fine," and he's expected to start Thursday's game against the Packers.

According to coach Mike Zimmer, Bridgewater was "doing a lot better" Monday morning.

Now if he suddenly got worse in the days since then or if the Vikings are having second thoughts, that doesn't change the accuracy of the original report, I am not a fortune teller. And with all that said, the line drop seems like an indication that he will give it a go.

I think etothep is on the right track, I think if something like this happens again, thread title would stress that it was just a sprained ankle and then post would say things like COULD start this week, blah blah blah

If you watched the Falcons game you knew he wasn't playing. All the reports you find on the internet about probable are just smokescreen. Anyone can be a reporter and post inaccurate info on the internet especially if his sources are unnamed.

LT Profits is the new Iraqi information minister. 300 million fans knew Bridgewater was not going to play but he somehow found the one unnamed source to report he is probable.

I think that there is just so much misinformation being put out by teams so that no one knows what is really going on( us ) while the other team knows what the fuk they are doing and who is playing. BS

Wouldn't have mattered who started Packers would have rolled this one either way. Wish I would have put more on it.

Pretty sure Bridgewater would have had more than 60 yards at half time.

I still ill like the Vikings long term outlook. All things considered the defense didn't play that badly

We can only hope! It's amazing he still plays at all. How many times does this awful first rounder have to keep playing to know he's a bust?

If Bridgewater doesn't pan out, it may cost Spielman his job. Ponder & Bill Musgrave cost Frazier his job. Both of them were stubborn enough to keep rolling him out there time after time after time. Anyone with any football knowledge and some eyes could have seen at the start of Ponder's second season that he was not NFL starter material. He should have had one of the best advantages with play action of any quarterback in history, but just couldn't make the throws.
