Three years, $46 million.

This might be Cuban being a savvy business man and using Parsons as damn near a poison pill for the Rockets. Only insofar as Bosh goes.
The only way the Rockets can maintain their MAX offer to Bosh is if they invoke their Larry Bird Rights with Parsons to exceed salary cap. If the Rockets want to keep him, they now have to pay.
Cuban ain't stupid. He wants money off the table or a great pickup in Parsons.

A very astute move by the Mavs. I love Parsons and I agree with the last poster, this is a move to ensure that life is difficult for Houston. Well played guys.

Another whitey who doesn't deserve that big of a contract.....but a good player. I'd actually prefer Parsons over Hayward.

Yep, not even close IMO. Parsons is dynamic and can do a lot of things. In a different scenario he would/could be even better. I believe he has not even come close to his potential, whereas I believe that Hayward is what he is....if he has a season much better than this last one I will be surprised.

Completely agree with everything you said. Parsons shot 47% FG and 37% 3pt last year, whereas Hayward only shot 40% FG and 30% 3pt. They both averaged almost identical numbers in the points, rebounds and assists categories. Parsons put up great numbers on a very good team where he was the third option. Hayward put up his numbers where he was the best player on a really bad team. If Parsons had the opportunites Hayward had in Utah, Parsons probably would have been a 20+pt per game player.

I like Parsons' game. Would be happy to see him with the Mavs.
PG?, Ellis, Parsons, Dirk, and Chandler is a scary starting 5 if Cuban can somehow unload Felton and get a decent PG. Shame they couldn't pull off the Chandler deal without swapping Calderon for that fat fukk. Plus which the only thing Felton can actually bring to a team is running the PnR and the Mavs already have Ellis as a primary ballhandler. They need a PG who can space the floor. Felton shot like what 25% from 3 last year? lol.

Parsons is a great kid. Fell apart in the last 2-3 games in the playoffs. Made horrible decisions. Kid only knows how to run and gun and that concerns me.
Only thing I can think of... that Cuban wants him... just for entertainment purposes... won't be a championship squad here at all.

Motiejunas will foul out all the time if he has to play more than 10 minutes per game.

Motiejunas is a weak defender, poor perimeter shooter. He is nowhere near parsons level. This is going to blow up in moreys face and he might have to look for other options. Best thing morey can do is hide out so the carrier can not find him for an extre week, lol

Mavs are contenders again. Tyson Chandler was a big move for them, Parson is a good player. If they can bring back Vince they will be a threat in the West.

It is an offer sheet, Parsons is a restricted free agent so Rockets get a chance to match.

heres the funny part...... while bosh waits for lebron to make his decision, rockets have 3 days to match the mavs offer. but they cant do that unless bosh signs first otherwise they cant sign him.
so if lebron doesnt make up his mind in next 3 days he could end up screwing the rockets out of both bosh and parsons.

Now teams are discussing sign and trade since the offer sheet has not actually been signed yet so the 72-hour clock to match has not begun.

Exactly my thoughts, Parsons over Heyward, still Parsons isnt worth 15 mil. If youre white in the Nba and show any kind of life or spark you get drafted too high or paid too much.

Offer sheet is now SIGNED and received by Rockets, they now officially have 72 hours to either match it of let Parsons go to Mavs.

Anyone paying a guy who can only hit spot up jumpers 15 mil a year is crazy. Period. Dallas has a lot of good players who passed their prime 2 years ago.
