    First Polanco and Now Heaney
First the Pittsburgh Pirates called up one of the best hitting prospects in all of baseball in Gregory Polanco.

Now the Miami Marlins have called up one of the best pitching prospects in southpaw Andrew Heaney. Heaney had a 2.47 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, and 79 strikeouts vs. 15 walks in 76.2 total innings this season between AA and AAA. He projects as a frontline starter, and that time may come sooner rather than later.

          Confirmed Heaney is starting Thursday.

Top ranked LHP prospect in all of baseball.

Now the Marlins can tell Jacob Turner he can suck b a l l s in the bullpen.

Actually I don't like that Heaney opened up as a favorite in his first big league start and the odds have drifted a bit higher since opening. The Marlins are not playing too good right now after losing two out of three here at home to the last place Cubs and 7 of their last 11 overall, the Mets score a lot more runs on the road than at home, they hit .272 while averaging 5.29 vs. lefties on the road and Wheeler has allowed just one run in 12 innings vs. Miami this year. I actually like the Mets at +odds.

Heaney sent back down to the minors. Apparently the kid was not ready as his ERA stands at 6.53 after another bad outing Saturday in St. Louis. Either the extra seasoning will do him good or he will not live up to his hype. We shall see.

What a letdown for the Marlins. He won't live up to the hype.
