Blockbuster trade who got the better end of it?
12 team Roto league. I was the one that offered the trade and the other guy accepted.

Pujols and Starlin Castro traded for Eric Hosmer, Ian Desmond, and Jeff Locke. which side got the better deal? I will mention which side I was after hearing what everyone thinks.

I guess it really depends on Locke. I dont think he will be all that great in the 2nd half.

Nothing in his peripherals says he can maintain what he is doing, his current FiP is 3.81 his xFiP is 4.25 and his Sierra is 4.56, his K rate is low and walk rate is high and its hard to count on him being considerably better than average or providing much better results than you can grab off waivers playing match ups.

With all that Pujols/Castro will provide more offense with more upside than Hosmer/Desmond.

From a 'buy low, sell high' perspective whoever got Pujols and traded away Locke is the winner. Still stuck with Castro..

Don't know what you are going to get from Locke, Pujols is going to put up some numbers imo anyway you look at it. Better side got Pujols

I like the Pujols/Castro side as well, I think both will have big second halves.

im guessing you got the side with pujols, and sure thats a steal, but as a pujols owner this year I have to warn you to expect a lot of 1/4 1B nights

Castro is a stiff but Pujols is an elite player that should have a great second half. And I think Locke will be a stiff in the second half too so looks like you got hosed. Sorry.

Sorry I thought you offered Pujols. So the answer is the Pujols side is the easy winner, even with Castro being irrelevant.

indeed I am the side getting Pujols/Castro. Locke has definitely been getting lucky and he is due for a tougher second half and no way he maintains his current ERA. as far as Hosmer I drafted him with high hopes and even though he has picked it up the past couple of weeks I'm still not a believer. As far as Desmond he no doubt is a stud and he is a streaky hitter as well and when his hot he is one of the best shortstops out their however I had to make room for Castro and I had to move him.

I am hoping Pujols will be the RBI machine that he can be in that lineup and puts up similar numbers to last years second half and reaches 30 homeruns at least. As far as Castro he has looked better as of late as well and if the Cubs don't trade away any of their offensive players I think he will have a solid 2nd half as well.

I'm with the majority here. I like Pujols and Castro side. I'm hoping Locke fades as a Reds fan. It would be a nice swing if Castro shows some life

well thats the end of my season, Pujols likely out for the rest of the season. Also worth mentioning I owned Ryan Braun in this league as well.
