Long time league and owners are squabbling.

Two teams one 5th, other 7th put forth the following trade.

Team A Ships Pedro Alvarez and Lance Lynn (In 5th)

Team B Ships Evan Longoria and Jose Veres (in 7th)

I am being pushed to vote veto on the trade by a few other owners but not really sure.

Team B states there in dead last in saves with Veres being there only closer and they can gain some decent ground with Lynn putting up decent K numbers and getting wins.

I dont think its really veto material; the real issue I assume people are having is the swap of Longoria for Alvarez, but based on Zips/Steamer RoS projections, well look in the basic 5X5 cats:

    243/13/30/37/1
    273/12/33/37/1

I tend to argue against veto unless it is a ridiculously one sided deal.

Yes, Roto league and his argument is at this point he is out of it with saves anyways and therefore has no point in carrying Veres. He is currently in dead last in saves and decently behind the guy ahead of him.

              its a fair enough trade

but I veto most trades because the strategy to that is to get the owners to drop those players waivers and see if you can make a a claim

Actually, the only time I don't veto trades is when I think it makes both teams worse
especially if the votes are anonymous

Don't really think you can veto it but the trade looks like it is going to make the 5th place team better. So if you see them as a threat climbing up the standings due to them getting these players as a lopsided trade then veto it.

I veto all trades just to be a jerk. In this case it looks like a fair deal. If you want to be a prick go ahead and veto it, might feel good.

I wouldn't want to be in a serious league with you.

its not the best deal in my opinion but to me it does not warrant a veto...lynn has been great too

Yeah, that's my point exactly, it's not like your're dealing with top caliper players here. This is pretty balanced and in no way would be considered veto material.

I"m pretty easy going with trades unless it's horribly one sided. I don't think this trade is bad and I would accept it.

I agree, I generally try to let most trades go and hate being in leagues where people just veto for the sake of veto. Half the fun of this is trading. Ive been in leagues where ten out of ten trades receive maximum veto votes and it just makes the game less entertaining.

I generally don't veto anything unless it obviously a dump job. This one just popped up because this league has been together a couple years and a few owners were trying to convince me to join there cause.

                                    Not one sided at all.

                                    No need to veto.
