    Top SS for 2013
    1. Reyes (New team, should put up huge numbers if he can stay healthy)
    2. Tulo (If he can stay healthy, will be the top SS, but that's a big IF)
    3. Hanley (Once considered best player in baseball, young enough to get back to that status)
    4. Castro (Young superstar, getting better every year, going to explode one year)
    5. Desmond (Starting to put it all together, loaded National lineup could provide serious value)
    6. Zobrist (Has power and speed combo)
    7. A. Cabrera (20/20 potential who is solid all round)
    8. Prado (Another new face in a new place, Consistent hitter, does a little of everything)
    9. A. Escobar (Think he is ready to take a big leap forward with a talented Royal team)
10.Andrus (Dip in steals is a concern, but still a productive SS)

Who do u like on here? I think it's a pretty solid position, any I haven't listed that you think will have a solid 2013. Jeter, Rollins, Aybar, Segura, Hardy and Simmons didn't make my list, but could have a impact as well.

Thats a deep list at SS. You could argue any of the top 4 to be the best. But you can't go wrong with any. Personally, I put Tulowitzki ahead of the pack.

Tulowitzki should be the top SS but I wouldn't feel good about having to take him between 10-15. He'd be a great pick in the 3rd round but he probably won't last that long.

This is my favorite thread so far this year!

Seriously, this may be the best group of shortstops in several years.

There is a lot of young talent which makes it even more impressive.

I would have to give Tulo the nod as the leader of the pack at this point...

SS definitely deeper this year than in year's past. Most shallow position in my eyes remains 2B - considerable dropoff after Cano.

            I'd say tulowitzki number 1

Reyes and Hanley numbers 2 and 3

            Where will Hanley play?

Tulowitzski should be a good distance ahead of the pack. I'm not a big Reyes fan really. He is solid though. The position is stacked and everybody can get a decent SS. I think 2B is the shallow position.

Shortstop, figured you would be into it!

I agree that Tulo is the best, but most drafts you prolly have to spend a high pick to get him and there are always those injury concerns. Also as Mex said with the depth of the position you wouldn't want to waste a 1st round on Tulo. Good responses so far guys, I really like this subforum

draft tulo where he is projected and your in trouble imo.

Id rather take Prado and prado is eligible in 3 spots in alot of leagues.

i make a habit of avoiding tulo because the guy just cant stay healthy...i like castro for the .BA...if you hold out for a guy like prado or scutaro or other SS position eligible players, maybe even stephen drew now that he's in fenway? you might make a nice profit rather than going big for injury prone guys like reyes, tulo, etc.

Jumping ahead 25 years, we may all look back and realize that Andrelton Simmons was the best shortstop of all the above.

don't like reyes at 1. moving to the AL new team tough division, etc. Like Tulo at #1 however as stated its a deep position and I wouldn't draft a shortstop early
