    Fanduel Strategy for NBA
What is your guys' strategy in winning fanduel NBA games? Maybe post pics of your best lineups and explain how you crafted them?

90 % is exploiting the match-ups while 10% is luck. Example from yesterday, Mo Williams ended up with 36 fantasy points against the Lakers last night. The Lakers came into last night's game allowing an average of 35 fantasy points to point guards. Williams has come down in price the last few weeks while he had a great opportunity to grab more than what he was worth and he did. If you are trying to hit a big tournament you are going to need a little bit more luck and you have to take risk.

        Yankee,

We have a thread going with in which some of us guys will post some lineups once it gets close to game time. Check in on it and maybe it can give you some pointers. Some guys will give out info on why they took a certain guy. Example the other night Samgurt took Josh Howard and I was confused to why but he is from Minnesota and he saw in the local news that Howard would be starting and seeing an significant increase in playing time which was a solid pick for how cheap the guy was and put up decent numbers.

if u find out a starter is out and the 6th man is starting, if he is good , jump on that player.
Of course you can load up your lineup alot easier on fanduel than you can draftday or dailyjoust where i
                prefer to play

jeepsguy004, where do you find the Position match-ups vs Team defenses? Also, what do you think about Ed Davis tonight?

What Cross said is correct. The high priced players are the stars in this league who perform like a star night in and night out. You need to find the value plays to go along with those high priced stars to build your team.

Exactly. Great strategy when it comes to Fanduel.

Fanduel is daily fantasy sports. Basically instead of playing a long season of the same fantasy team here you play each night with a different team that you build with the salary they allow. Not as easy as it may seem especially since there are guys who make a living doing this. The opportunity to make great money is there but you need to really study up on players since each night you have a different team with different match-ups you need to exploit if you want to be successful.

So there is a lot of work involved because you have to do this for everysingle game?

It is a much work as you want to make it. If you have the time and you really want to get involved in it then it could be alot of work.

There are numerous different angles you can play. One being. Some people will stack their lineup with two-three superstars who are priced extremley high. Well their is a reason they are priced that high they perform at that level night in and night out. Now if going that route then you need to find at least two cheap guys who could be strong value plays. Maybe someone like a DJ Augustin who got a start last night for George Hill who is out and Augustin met his value since he is priced so cheap and had an outstanding night for his price. After you find those cheap guys then you need to find mind priced level guys to fill in. That is where you really need to exploit the matchups becuase these guys wont always perform up to that superstar level.

Like I said there is alot of work to be done if you really want to be succesful. The other issue on most of these sites if you ar just starting out and try playing head to head games the big timers can click on your name and see how strong you are and they could easily want to play a head to head with you since they know you are new and you could be an easy target to grab some cash from.

Best bet if you are new to it would be play some 50/50 games and see how you do. After the contest look at who finished above you and see what there teams look like. Maybe you can see what they did to build a team that could help you in the future.

One more thing. You do need some luck. You can run all the numbers in the world into formulas to give you estimates on how many points each guy is going to score but they still need to perform up to that level and that is where the luck comes in.
