Week 7 QB?

I'm in the same position. Got Peyton on bye. Didn't even think of Freeman! I had it narrowed down to Palmer vs JAC, Cutler vs DET, and Ponder vs ARI. But I'll have to consider Freeman going up against that weak NO defense.

From your list, I'd cut out Hasselback and Ponder. Freeman and Cutler look like nice choices. Cutler is the biggest risk, because I think we can all imagine him throwing 3 TD's, but I can also see him getting sacked 5+ times and throwing multiple picks.

Does it matter that I have P.Harvin on my team, and C.Ponder seems to complete a lot of passes. He had 35 completions last week. We get a point for completions in my league.

I really like J.Freeman's match-up.

ARI vs MIN just seems like a defensive matchup. I doubt Arizona scores more than 17 points, which means MIN will be happy to feed AP and kick FG's. Only reason why Ponder threw so much was because Washington jumped out to an early lead. MIN was down by 2 scores for most of the 2nd half.

There is no doubt that Freeman will have to throw to keep up with Brees and New Orleans.

Still can't get a read on Cutler vs the Lions. Cutler is day and night. My opponent has a ton of people on bye, so I may play it safe with Freeman or Palmer. If I needed a homerun, I'd go with Cutler.

I'd probably go Freeman but Cutler would be a very strong consideration.

J.Cutler was picked up off Waivers.

I snagged J.Freeman, so I have C.Ponder and J.Freeman on my roster. I will need to drop one for my TE fill-in later in the week.

Good luck with Freeman. I'm still undecided. Since all of my opponents players play in the 1pm EST games, I might just wait until the first wave of games are done, and decide between Palmer and Cutler.

Have Matt Ryan in a 10 man league and am going with Cutler. In deeper leagues I say Hasselbeck and if you're really desperate, Freeman or Weeden.

Nice call on Freeman. I'm beating myself up for not picking up Freeman. Going to let it ride with Cutler, I'll need Freeman-like numbers from Cutler for me to have a shot to win my matchup.
