So this has been bothering me all day...
So as I was out the door I was watching the TN/NC game last night...

Was I watching the same game as the refs?

During the last play of regulation

The clock was running am I right?

The field goal crew was running onto the field?

They tried to spike the ball with too many players on the field...

    This stops the clock?!?!?!

Is it the fact that the game cant end on a penalty? Isnt there a run off when a team commits a penalty that stops the clock?

Like I said I was out the door, so I turned my TV off when the ref said the game was over...

Yeah I'm obviously unfamiliar with the NCAA rules...

So what is the rule then? The clock can stop on too many players on the field?

Like I said I left the house before hearing any type of discussion on what happened

Basically at the end of the game if u need one last play u might as well run ur whole team out there so they stop the clock....

The clock stopped when he spiked it with 1 second left. They marked the yards off for too many players on the filed then let them line up for the FG with 1 second on the clock.

They need to look into changing the rule like in the NFL.
