Normally I would agree with you, and I will agree that ND isn't much this year. Making it worse for ND is they are without their QB, their top two RBs, their TE, and 2 WRs.

But. This is the kind of game Brian Kelly (Not Notre Dame), but Brian Kelly gets his teams ready for.

Kelly has had 5 games in the last 2 years where he was without key starters, had some time to prepare and his teams came to play.

I am betting on Brian Kelly more than I am Notre Dame here. I think he has ND ready to play tomorrow.

They only have one common opponent. Pitt. Utah beat Pitt in OT, and ND beat Pitt by 6. That isn't much to go on, but it tells me these two teams are closer than you would expect.

I agree with you completely. Gotta add that its there final home game. I also think Utah will be a little down on themselves after getting embarrassed last week (47-7). Now you gotta go play in another building against these factors.

They started out -5.5 for a reason. That number and 6.5 on the road I bet isnt cashing more than 10-15% on the year.
