i'm leaning Toledo plus the points. Toledo owns N.I. in recent years with the exception of 2008. I expect a high scoring game and it to be a one possession victory by one of these teams. 11 is too many and the over looks good to me. Both teams are 5-0 in their conference division and the winner will be in first place of the division with each team having a weak and favorable schedule remaining. Most likely, the winner of this game goes to the MAC Championship. This spread would be 3 or 4 if Toledo's starting qb from last week hadn't gotten hurt. Their backup Owens played well in his debut last week but that was against the worst team in college football, Eastern Michigan, so it's kinda hard to really tell how he'll handle his first road game against a much better team. I still think Toledo plus the points is the play, but the over might be an even better bet.

My perspective is that Northern Illinois has a tough defense and a top notch running attack.

They have a 1,000 yard rusher and his backup has over 500 yards already.

Northern Illinois beat a very solid Temple team 31-17 and in that game outgained temple by quite a bit.

Toledo in my opinion has no real stand out wins, but they do have a glaring loss at home to Wyoming (20-15).
Any team can come out flat, but to lose to Wyoming at home, and now they must go on the road with an inexperienced backup QB.

I'll lay the 11 points. I am slightly concerned because Northern Illinois has little in the way of passing numbers, if Toledo is able to get some turnovers, or big special teams play it will be difficult for Northern Illinois to pull away.

Not my best play of the week but I like No. Illinois to cover, and at the least I would advise taking the points and the road backup QB.

          Degenerates game tonight!

Im rolling with the points and Toledo who's backup QB may be better than the starter.

            N. Illinios is a very good home team, limiting a potent Temple offense to 17 points and zero in the 2nd half if I remember correctly

I'm trying not to break my self imposed rule of not betting these weekday garbage games because you never know how these teams are going to respond, and they never seem to hit for me

GL to all who venture in !

              Interesting second half stat.

Northern Illinois has not allowed an opponent to score more than one touchdown in the second half all season. Have outscored opponents 98-14 in second half the last five games.

I have NIU +3 and PK coming off of 2 teasers from last night.

Still deciding on whether to hedge with Toledo ML...But I hate to bet against my huskies.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. If the game is remotely close at the half I'll be pounding NIU second half.
