Auburn is ranked 3 in the AP and 8-0 playing Ole Miss. only giving 7 points. Auburn is 8-0 overall and 5-0 in the SEC. OMiss. is not ranked and they are 3-4 overall and 1-3 in the SEC. OMiss. has lost by 1-14-13-14 pts. in their 4 losses. Is this a TRAP line? Line hasn't moved off of 7. Can anyone explain why why not to load up on Auburn? Thanks

#3The reason is because Auburn has won it's 2 road games by 3 points each. Outside of their win over Arkansas, all of their SEC wins have been by less than a TD.
In my opinion Auburn should put a more complete game together and Ole Miss won't be able to stop their ground game. I laid the points, but past history is why the spread was so low.Comment -

#4Ole Miss has improved a lot since the Jacksonville State debacle. Masoli was very impressive against Arky and should do well against Auburn's defense. Also, Nutt is damn good motivator. Auburn could dealing with a hangover after the lsu win. Plus, everyone pumping sunshine up their asses all week telling them how good they are for being ranked #1. Ole Miss is also having some kind of gay "blue out" and busting out some special unis. I like Ole Miss plus the points. Good luck.Comment -

#5The Herd said this morning that Ole Miss has finally taken the handcuffs (their word, not mine) off Masoli and he is playing lights out right now. Said they would score enought to keep it close.Comment -

I dont think Ole Miss has the athletes on defense to stop the Auburn offense.
Mississippi's qb Jeremiah Masoli tranferred from Oregon and is supposed to be "all that". But dropped passes and a bad D have them at 3-4.
Miss lost to Alabama (13 pts) and Arkansas (14 pts) in back to back weeks on the road. They seemed to get their offense rolling in the second half last week but they were already down 24-3.
Tough to call. I can see Auburn winning by 14 and I can see Mississippi pulling the upset.Comment -

#7Because of what Kubilak said and yes Masoli has been playing better with each game. I see this being another close Auburn win. Newton will carry the tigers to another close win.Comment -

#9I'd say they are giving Ole Miss too much credit for the past and too much credit for being at home.

#13Auburn has won 8 of last 9 vs Ole Miss, with the dog covering three of last four. They are 5-1 last six visits to Oxford, but only one of the five wins was by more than 8 points. As Kubilak and others have mentioned, Auburn's two road wins have been by a field goal (Miss St. and Kentucky).
All three Ole Miss SEC losses have been by 13 plus points. I see no reason Auburn can't cover this game.Comment -

#24Auburn will bring pressure on Masoli. Once Newton gets the ball in his hand it's all over for Ole Miss. They have no defense to stop Auburn. This is the easiest SEC game left on the schedule for Auburn. Georgia game is the one that might get upset because it's a mismatch for them.Comment -

#25Ole Miss is last in the SEC in scoring defense and passing efficiency defense. They rank 10th in total defense.
Auburn ranks first in the SEC in rushing offense, total offense and scoring offense. Hard to imagine the Tigers not being able to put points on the board. Auburn wins by two touchdowns.Comment -

#28look i've already locked it in for large. i bought the hook for safety at -6.5 even though it shouldn't come to that. the #1 ranked BCS team has lost 3 weeks in a row. do you really think it'll be 4?
this is a statement game for the tigers and the easiest one for them in the conference. i got this capped at -14.Comment -
