The Dogs have covered both nights this week. The Over/Under is 1-1. Do not think I will be playing the game but will play the Over 45(Bodog). If I had to make a play on the game without capping it I would take West Virginia. Getting beat by Syracuse last week I would think they would be coming out to make a point. I do like the Over a lot. Out of the last 6 meetings the Over is 6-1

Other dogs covering has nothing to do with this game though. The only reason WVU isn't a 10+ point favorite: 1)the loss to Syracuse, 2)they usually let off the gas EARLY.
UConn is a mess right now. Leaning towards WVU (-6.5) if I can get it there.

Few interesting tidbits:
WVU is 5-1 ATS in the last 6 against UConn
WVU is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 conference games
UConn is down to their 3rd string QB Zach Frazier also.

Correct. sir. Until USF over S-Florida, Dogs had only covered 1or2 weekday games all year.

Just remember Frazer has starting experience. Hes not a nobody. He was the starter in the last 6 games (4-2, including 4 straight Wins to end the season and a win over South Carolina). He also started the first 3 this season. A win over Texas Southern and 2 losses to some pretty good teams named Michigan and Toledo.
Hes not a nobody in any stretch. If he can get some confidence from the L'ville game (6-8 for 57 yards) it could open up Jordan Toddman to attack a WVU running D who gave up 180 to 'Cuse last week.
The Big East does crazy stuff on weeknights. Rutgers over UConn despite starting a true frosh QB, no TD in 2 games South Florida upsetting a rolling Cincy team..

Agree completely. I know he's actually pretty damn good to be a 3rd stringer. WVU scares the hell outta me to wager on. Leaning but likely a no-play for me.
It amazes me how day of the week can affect a game. Gotta love college ball

Had that thought too but it dawned on me once that weekday games are a different animal because It changes the schedule that every program has set for a Saturday game.
The higher you go, the more sports is a series of pre planned routines. Practice is always this day and time. Meals are always this time. Film is this time. Treatment is that time. Common knowledge is athletes are creatures of habit and superstition. Imagine if you moved your entire weekly schedule a day. So church was on Monday mornings. Cfb on Sundays. Your final work day was Saturday. Even if you know you just have to move it a day it still throws you off.
Because of this, unless there's a huge talent difference then it comes down to a team being more motivated or focused, which is alittle harder to predict in capping.
The only other thing I like to look at is playing multiple weekday games, I would think the more you play the better handle you have. Ucf proved it by beating UAb then Marshall on consecutive weekdays and WVU showed it improving from the Marshall to USF games.

Really good assessment and capping angle. May have to add that to my bag of tricks.

Staying away don't feel confident in either team. West Virginia has the talent but Bill Stewart doesn't know how execute.

Saddled up with WVU.
Let's see how Fraizer handles himself.
IF WVU covers, where does your money go tomorow? I like the ECU O.

Have to hop on board with WVU rebounding and playing back to their potential. Saw it in NCST last night, a tough loss will motivate the kids to step it up. they will want to have buffer room so look for a strong hold on a 10-14 pt game, hopefully no surprise at the end. The under also looks good here.

The Big East is a terrible conference. By far and away, the worst BCS conference. They have no team that is very good. Anything can happen here. West Virginia is much more talented, but often falls asleep. Stewart is not exactly a good coach. UConn has a very good coach, but has been a big disappointment this season. Overrated to start the season, they are really going to have to scramble to finish at .500 and earn a bowl bid. With Pitt at home and Syracuse away on deck, they really can not afford their 5th loss of the season now. Pass.

I have a BAD feeling about this game....... if WVU loses this game, Bill Stewart is in trouble -- so I am conflicted -- do I root for WVU, or do I root for the ouster of an obviously over his head coach who is well on his way to destroying the program?
