    Auburn or Oregon? Whose Better
Auburn: With Cam Newton in the drivers seat, no team in the Country can touch this team. The offense is averaging 55.4 points a game and Cam Newton will win the Heisman. The defense is young, and is progressing as the year continues.

Oregon:Chip Kelly has put together a powerful spread offense that has a strong attack. Darron Thomas has put up amazing stats, but im not sure he has what it takes to win in a tough situation. They have a lot of depth on defense, and always have fresh legs on the field.

Conclusion: I'm giving a slight edge to Auburn because of the qb situation and the defense has been improving throughout the year.

Not even a question, Auburn. Oregon hasn't beaten one good squad yet. Give it a few more weeks and we'll see if Oregon is the real deal.

If we had a playoff system we would know for sure. Since there is not one, we have to guess or hope for them to meet in BCS.

Oregon is far better, in my opinion, which has been known to be wrong on occasion.

                  We'll find out this weekend.

If Oregon crushes USC I'll become a true believer.

if either one survives the season unbeaten
then no question they both deserve it
I have a good suspicion - neither team will be around come D Day

Guess I should have said, "Oregon hasn't beaten any team with even a semi-decent defense". I agree, Stanford is pretty good.

Auburn has played 4 good teams this year and 6 if you want to count Clemson and Kentucky compared to Oregons, Stanford win. Auburn is hands down the better team.

It is very tough to compare teams that are very good and you can make points for both teams. This is why again I feel that the Ncaa needs to implement a playoff. Me being from the Charlotte, NC I am more partial and have more respect for any team that can compile a good record in the SEC. I will say that this is an off year for the SEC but it is still amayzing to me how these teams can compete week after week against quality opponents and win. Auburn has beaten four teams that were in the top 25 when they beat them. Oregon has beaten one (Stanford) and they even got them at home. I dont know but I think that this weekend we will see who Oregon really is. I think they will have there hands full with USC. I am not a USC fan but I was really impressed with how they played against Stanford on the road. Kiffen should have his troops ready, as long as he doesn't make some bone headed decision Usc should be in this game and might win. Both of these teams have a tough schedule remaining. I agree with an earlier post I think they both lose one game coming down the final stretch. Auburn has to play Alabama which I would say despite how good Auburn has looked will be a loss.

It's tough to answer two different teams that won't play each other, but the question I ask is who would your team most likely lose to? As a Missouri Tiger fan, I would MUCH rather play Auburn than Oregon.

Auburn doesn't put a whole lot of fear into any team I wouldn't think. They're kind of like the Ohio St of years past. Always squeaking by teams when they should lose.

I think in autzen no doubt oregon would prevail, however lets not forget people were very high on the ducks last year and that squad was just as explosive as this one and they were shredded by the buckeyes. Auburn plays a hellish schedule always hangs tough and has a BEAST at q their defense on the other hand, def is very suspect. I would anticipate quite a shootout and think we need to learn a little more about these 2 before i come to a conclusion

But...if you are evaluating the two teams strictly in the sense of which is better, you have to consider what would happen if they played each other. Oregon's offense would overwhelm Auburn's defense. While Auburn's D is dynamic, they are also relatively young. Nick Fairley may be the best Dlineman in the SEC but other than him the Tigers don't have any standouts on the defensive side of the ball. Oregon's spread offense wears out opposing defenses by utilizing space and a hell of a lot of speed. I just don't see Auburn's corners playing well for the entirety of the game. Keep in mind that SEC defenses are not used to seeing unorthodox, streaky, and frantic offensive schemes like the Oregon team has successfully implemented this year. By this logic, I feel as though Oregon would win straight up in a shoot-out.

                                                            I would say Auburn.

Auburn has to play Alabama which I would say despite how good Auburn has looked will be a loss.
you mean how stanford had 3 fumbles (including one on the 2nd-to-last drive up 6 in USC territory). Stanford practically tried to hand this game to SC on a silver platter, and their defense still gave up a game-winning drive. Stanford should have won this game by two TD's.. and oregon leads the nation in turnover margin I believe.

Auburn is good though, no doubt about it. I think this years SEC is down a notch and they've played the big games at home. Neutral field would be interesting...I can gurantee you the score would be basketballesque

Either one will be in the National Championship. They are both very beatable. With that said if they played in Oregon I think Oregon wins. If they play at Auburn I think Auburn wins. If they played at a neutral site Oregon wins a very close game.
