Knee-jerk reaction is take Florida St laying points. The have played the tougher schedule, have the better Defense, and have a better QB. They seem to play down to their opponents a bit, hopefully they take this game seriously.

But, does NC State have value at +4? at home, coming off a OT road loss to a team they should have beat...

Your right, Wilson is a much bigger part of the offense than Ponder has the talent to be. But, I think a lot of what makes Wilson better is the way NC State runs their offense. He has MANY more attempts and that gives him higher yardage, TDs, INTs, SACKS. Ponder is a little more Dink and Dunk with a higher completion percentage.

If NC State wants this game they need to repeat what Oklahoma did to Ponder: 11/28 for 113yrds, and 2 picks.

And the numbers for NC State facing a decent Defense don't necessarily glamorize Wilson either. Against VA Tech Wilson was 21/49 for 367, with 3 TDs and 3 picks.

I still agree with you. Wilson is far more capable of leading a comeback win or backdoor cover.

I'm taking the points here. NC St is a good team with a good QB at home. FSU has been inconsistent all year. Even in their victories they have struggled on offense at times. Ponder has struggled with interceptions, and I think the NC St defense will feed off the crowd to force a few turnovers early. NC St +4 has great value in my opinion

i agree. Too much is made over FSU defense. They rank only 45th against
the Pass - which is Wolfpack strong point (7th Pass Offense in all NCAA) !
granted the schedule has been weaker but NCSU still has an effective
Passing game, way too much love for FSU tonight. NCSU is the play.

And Thank You for the counter-arguments! That's why this forum is great: I can get (sometimes) get logical arguments for both sides of the spread and make a rational decision. In this case, I ended up Reversing NC State +4 and under 59!
