Get That Money - CFB

Hey, I have a Get That Money thread over in MLB but thought I would lay one down for some occasional CFB plays. I'm not the best capper in the world, nor the worst. CFB has actually been very good to me, don't know exact record but last weekend was only losing weekend. All the rest have been at least 75-85%. Hoping that doesn't jinx it haha.

Don't really have time for write-ups on these first plays but next time I will explain my reasoning a little more. I won't throw a bunch of stats out, just why I THINK they are picks.

USF-CIN - CIN-8 - Take Cinci and the points here. USF can defend well but that will only go so far if they don't put points up. It may start off a little slow but by second half Cinci should be rolling along. I expect a double-digit win here.

S. Carolina-Vanderbilt - S. Carolina -12.5 - When I first saw this line I thought it should be up around 14.5-16.5. A two-touchdown cover should be easy enough, even on the road.

LSU-Auburn -Auburn -5.5 - I like that it went to 5.5 cuz I expect Auburn to cover a touchdown. LSU hasn't impressed me much this year and I like Auburn in this spot to show off the QB against a rival.

WSH-Arizona -Arizona -6.5 - Zona at home. Take the points with them.

Notre Dame-Navy - ND -6.5 - I actually really like the military teams but this game has ND looking to prove that they can crush 'em. Invitational game I think. It will be hard-fought but a lot of ND fans will be there to cheer 'em to victory.

Tulane-UTEP - UTEP -10. A couple of mediocre teams here with Tulane being the weaker of the two. Not much else to say other than the miner's will put up a goldmine of points.


ALSO LEANING: USF-CIN OV 48. I know I know, the Under is the play and all that jazz but for some reason, I keep lookin' at that over.

USF-CIN - CIN-8 - Well, USF DID put up points and cost me an embarrassing first pick.

S. Carolina-Vanderbilt - S. Carolina -12.5 - A lot lower scoring than thought though.

LSU-Auburn - Auburn-5.5 - Great game. Did cover by the TD

WSH-Arizona - Zona -6.5 - Easy cover

Notre Dame-Navy - ND -6.5 - ND looked flat

Tulane-UTEP - UTEP -10 - Other way around. HTF did Tulane win by 10? LOL

USF-CIN - OVER 48 - No problem.

Going to Post only 4 plays. Hopefully they pan-out...I may be fade material at this point LOL.

TCU-Utah - TCU -5 - I have been watching this TCU team roll week after week and even though Utah has won me some monnayyyy, I am taking TCU and the points here. I am mainly taking this game cuz I know it will be a nail-biter and they are two of my fave teams to watch so thats why I'm taking it. NOT cuz I've capped it at a high percentage.

Missouri-Texas Tech - Mizzou -4 - I actually don't like Mizzou all that much and often like to see them lose lol. After that loss last week though I expect them to roll this one by 10. I hope I'm not too square on this play though.

Iowa-Indiana - Iowa -17.5 - Hoosiers will allow 3 early touchdowns. I see this game 28-7 at the half.

Arizona-Stanford - Stanford -8 - I know the line moved and lots of people think Arizona will cover. They could very-well be right but I like to see Stanford play and I'll take the 8 with them. I was torn between this and the Nebraska game but I think Stanford covers at home.

TCU -5 - TCU is a serious contender. I've thought so for a while now. Prob one of my favourite teams to watch.

Mizzou -4 - Mizzou has just shown they are not a threat.

Iowa -17.5 - Indiana may be the Hoosiers but Iowa are HOSERS. Fack youuuuuu

Stanford -8 - Another great team to watch!

Really need my picks to pan out today for my thread.

Purdue-MSU - MSU -20 - easy 3 touchdown cover here. Purdue may make it look tough to begin with but MSU covers nicely.

Northern Illinois-Ball State - N. Illinois -14.5 - line should be about 17.5 IMO

Arkansas Sate-Navy - Navy -12.5 - They will have their D ready this week. 3-TD cover.

Virginia Tech-Miami FL - Miami +2 - I was hoping some sharp money would be coming in on Miami about now but I'm still gonna roll with the canes. They've been impressive as of late.

Stanford-California - Stanford -6.5 - I like both teams but Stanford continues to show their worth. This pick and the Miami pick are risky but Stanford should have enough backing at Cal today to make them feel at home and get a 7 point cover.

Crazy day yesterday. Couple of upsets. Love it!

Purdue-MSU - MSU -20 - Well I was right about Purdue making it look tough for the Spartans but damn I never thought they'd play it THAT close!

N. Illinois-Ball State - N. Illinois -14.5 - Crushed 'em. Great play! I like those "crap games" sometimes.

Arkansas State-Navy - Navy -12.5 - Not quite as good as I thought, but covered.

VTech-Miami - Miami +2 - Should have seen this coming when no money was coming in on Miami.

Stanford-Cal - Stanford -6.5 - No contest! Exciting team. Rolled with 'em before, will roll with 'em again.

3 plays I feel confident on this weekend...

Miami Ohio-N. Illinois - N. Illinois -17.5 - They are unstoppable as of late. MAC championship game here and I don't see how the Redhawks put up enough points to hang for long with the Huskies. NIU will be rolling by the second half. Miami doesn't allow a whole shit-ton of points against but that will be different tonight.

USC-UCLA - USC -6 - Back-to-back losses for USC + the chance to embarrass the Bruins at home = big win for the Trojans. I'm laying the points down here and expect to see the Trojans getting on the board frequently to start with and not letting up. I think the books should be giving more points to UCLA but the 2 USC losses are keeping this game at less than a touchdown and I'm loving it!

Nebraska-Oklahoma - Nebraska +4 - Martinez is questionable. His gender is questionable too. Regardless, I think he ends up playing and plays good football. The Sooners will definitely put up points on a mediocre Nebraska defense and could very well cover but I have a feeling Nebraska pulls a back-door and possibly the win straight up. Kind of a risky pick but I love that and feel confident the Cornhuskers won't just let their efforts go to waste.

Miami Ohio-N. Illinois - N. Illinois -17.5 - Nothing to say about this game. I jumped on it way too early and liked it so much I ignored line movement and other things I should have been looking out for. Disappointed in myself.

USC-UCLA - USC -6 - Should have been a line around 9 or so IMO so I jumped all over that 6. Even part way through the game my buddy was like "50 bucks on UCLA +3" LOL...why would you take 3 and not 6 LOL Wanted to pay for my Thai food last night I guess...spicy crispy beef!!!!

Nebraska-Oklahoma - Nebraska +4 - Was watching for the Cornhuskers win but well done by the Sooners! As long as NEB stayed in the 4, I'm happy.

Haven't posted many picks lately and actually kind of forgot I even had this thread lol.

Just one pick for tomorrow but there will be a few more to follow. Trying to enjoy the new year celebrations at Niagara Falls. The Canadian side of course lol.

TCU-Wisconsin - TCU -3 -Simply put, the horned frogs are really horny for this bowl game. They really want to come out on fire and put an end to all of the talk about them not being able to measure up to a proper opponent. The badgers have been really solid this year and can really rack up the points but TCU's top-tier defense should be able to slow them down enough to get the win. The Badgers will be pesky but expect TCU to get the win and the cover at least. I know this will cause a lot of badger supporters to come out and say their piece. Do it, let's get some discussion!! TCU is the pick.

TCU-Wisconsin - TCU -3 - Dammit. Had a smaller play on ML but a big play here on the -3. What are the chances it lands on 2? Oh well, they won the game and shut all the haters up. Good enough.

Stanford-V-Tech - Stanford -3(buy hook) & Stanford ML - The Cardinal are coming in at a 3-point fave and frankly, I thought it would be a little more even, maybe -1.5 or so. Regardless, this game will be a high-scoring affair in comparison to the last few bowl games with good offenses, those totals weren't even close to being met. I expect points to be put up early and I think Stanford's edge on defense will be enough to allow them to get a few stops at crucial times. I hope there is no backdoor-bullshit like in the TCU game but that's why I am also going with Stanford ML. The time-zone cross won't affect them too much because by now all of their jet-lag should have subsided and they will be ready to take on a well-known V-Tech team and show the east how the west was won. Stanford is my pick.

Stanford ML - These guys are unstoppable. I think I had a play earlier in the season with Stanford and was realllyy impressed. A game That I would have liked to see would have been Stanford-TCU in a bowl. I think that would be more exciting. I was never convinced that V-Tech would put up a fight. Just something about them didn't seem as strong as touted this year.

Arkansas-Ohio State- Arkansas +3.5 (buy hook) & Arkansas ML - Goin' with the double-whammy here again as I feel Arkansas will win outright. Ohio St. really needs to come to terms with the fact that they are #6 in the country and not #1. They have the attitude that they are #1 which can be very effective in motivating teams to perform at a #1 level and cause them to exceed their potential but it can also work backwards and cause teams to think they have it in the bag before it even begins. The latter is what I see from the Luckeyes. I don't think they should even be #6! They haven't overly impressed me in any games to the point where I think they deserve their ranking. I understand that their defense is 3rd in the nation which can cause problems for the Hogs but their solid offense should be able to get the ball through the air. The Ohio State fans have already counted this one as a win while the Razorbacks are quietly preparing for the surprise attack. Arkansas knows the strength of the Luckeye's run game and will be focusing on that all week and should be ready for this Sugar Bowl. Nothing sweeter than a dog-win tonight in the south.
