Is sportrends.com worth paying for shiva? I see that their free pics have been hitting quite often, so i'm thinking about purchasing a regular package. Just wanted to see your thoughts before i throw money away to scam artists.thanks!

I was thinking the same thing. I did have a question. In the FYQ section is states "Your winning percentage depends entirely on the prediction formula that you create, since there are 10 statistical inputs. Prophet shows you in points the advantage of the winning team, based on the statistical strengths and weaknesses of the opposing team.

I'm not clear on what that means. Is the software easy to use? Thanks for you input.

What this is saying is that you can alter the software formulas to focus on any of the 10 statistical categories you prefer to pick winners. How much you win depends on what you put the focus on. It's hard to explain what I mean if you don't have the software. There is a learning curve as it's not the most intuitive at first but you get used to it and it's easy from there. There is a lot of good stuff contained within it so I would recommend it, but being so close to the end of the year you prob should just wait until next year. I've created a formula I like a lot and posted a screen shot in the NFL thread. If you need the link I can post it.

Yes I use their service and I'm happy with it.
The only thing is, you have to have discipline and check on lines 15 to 20 minutes before game time.

You'll find an example in post 737 (page 37)...this is the formula creation screen, I'm talking about.

The basketball software is a little different but it's worth the expense if you take the time to learn it and find ways to utilize it. It's not the prettiest car on the block but it works. They codebase they use is a little older so it won't install on W7 (not sure about Vista) real well. You need to make sure you have an XP machine.
