Nebraska Cornhuskers at Washington Huskies (Who are you on?)
Nebraska's Taylor Martinez will be making his first career road start one week after he barely reached the 100 passing yards and fumbled numerous times against Idaho. Washington has Jake Locker who most say will be the number one pick in the draft.

The line looks to good to be true at Nebraska -3 or -3.5 whatever your shop has. However Road Favs like this have let downs often. I remember USC coming into Washington and getting beat.

My gut is telling me Nebraska and the points as a no brainier, but I just can't pull the trigger. What do you guys think.

As crazy as this sounds if the line was -5 or even -6 I might be more on Nebraska, because that would tell me Vegas thinks that they are at least a 10 point home FAV.

I actually think this could be one of the best games on the board this weekend.

    OPINIONS?

The books clean up on this one IMO. Wash ML or no play for me. Like the dawgs straight up, personally..... +3.5 is as solid a play as you'll find. Flame me now, and apologize later....

A few years back Ohio St went to Washington and destroyed them. Nebraska shut down Arizona high octane offense in the bowl game last year.

Expert recap and game analysis of the Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Washington Huskies NCAAF game from September 15, 2007 on ESPN.

Washington led 7-3 at half. Tyrone "fold like a house of cards at the half" Willingham was incapable of making halftime adjustments. It was Jake Locker's freshman year. A different Washington program, and ended up losing 33-14.

Not saying Washington CANNOT get blown out, but I definitely do believe that they have an outstanding shot at pulling off the ML win. Huge game for both programs...

At first look it would seem Nebraska will tear them apart. But Nebraska has had 6 turnovers in 2 games and their first test is Washington on the road. I will take Locker and the Huskies. GL

              Lean Nebraska.

The Cornhuskers turned the ball over four (4) times and had 10 penalties for 120+ yards. After such an offensive performance, I would expect a team of Negraska's caliber to step up the following week. Bo Pelini had plenty to say to the offence and promised supporters a better offensive effort for this weekend. He said " We’ll be fully ready as a football team to go to Seattle. I promise you that.”

We all know that Nebraska can play defence.

              Whatever you guys decide, BOL.

freshman qb on the road is the key. NEbraska is the better team, better defense, better coach but I think it comes down to the inexperience at QB. I still would not play huskies though.

iowa and nebraska both play pac 10 schools this weekend and I don't think both win. I say iowa wins and nebraska looses.

                                    I like Washington straight up.

I wouldn't factor in Nebraska's Holiday Bowl win against Arizona when thinking about this game. That Nebraska team was on a roll and had Suh.

I feel like Nebraska is overrated and we will see that tomorrow. Does anyone remember Nebraska losing at home to Iowa State last year?

Washington beat Cal and USC on it's home field last year. I really like the Huskies in this spot when the casual fan will love Nebraska -3.5.

Nebraska has many playmakers on defense without Suh. Bo Pelini eats, sleeps, and shits defense. The Blackshirts will be ready to go.

Nebraska was more excited to play in the Holiday bowl than Arizona was. Arizona was an overtime away from winning the Pac-10 and going to the Rose Bowl. It was a bit of a downer going to the Holiday Bowl.

Nebraska was never expected to goto a BCS game. They caught fire at the end of the year and put more into the bowl game than Arizona. At least that's my opinion.

I'm not telling you discount anything Nebraska did last year, I'm just giving reasons as to why I feel like the Holiday bowl win is being a bit overvalued.

People are quick to remember that game but not the Iowa State game Nebraska lost at home.

To the casual eye, the spread looks really easy. Top 10 team against unranked team -3. Be careful.

Nebraska may be one of the most overrated teams in the country.

I'm not looking at the Holiday bowl or the Iowa State game at all. Nebraska has a much better QB now.

What exactly has Washington done so far? They were the trendy pick at BYU, lost outright (then BYU got ripped by Air Force last week). Had to come back to win against Syracuse.

Now, the real reasons to be concerned about the Huskers. 1) First road game in a hostile environment. But Nebraska does have one of the best traveling fanbases in the country. They quickly ate up their 8,000 seat allotment and I'm sure at least another few thousand fans will find their way into the stadium.

                                            2) Redshirt freshman QB making first road start against a "good" opponent. If Washington can force Martinez to throw the ball he could be prone to mistakes. However if they establish the zone read, they will eat up Washington all day just like Oregon has the past few years.

                                            3) Washington will need to get the running game going to stay in it. Nebraska's pass defense has been superb but they let Western Kentucky and Idaho have a decent running game. The defense has been great early in the game but let the foot off the pedal when up by a few scores.

If Nebraska if overrated, I'd like to see which teams you'd rate above them.

Well Texas and Arizona had excellent QB's last year with career numbers and Heisman hopefuls. That was until they faced Nebraska defense. In fact Nebraska is responsible for dropping McCoy from 1st round to 3rd round of NFL draft last year.

Just my 2 cents, but you do not want to bet against Pelini and the Blackshirts in this one. Lots of takeaways today from the Huskies. I believe Bo when he says that they will be ready. His teams get better as the season goes along and this week will prove that. Good luck in your play! Huskers by 12+ easy in this one.

Washington will be lucky to field 11 players on offense in their next game after the beatdown they get today.

I already threw my money on Nebraska but I'll be honest you, Martinez' fumbling issue scares the hell out of me. If that doesn't show its ugly head today Nebraska will cruiiiiiiiiisseee today. I may have just jinxed myself but i think we'll be fine regardless. Here's to cashn in

We havent had much sports to cheer about here, but Locker is the difference here. On offense, they have USC calibur athletes at ALL skill positions.

The over and Washington, or no play. East Coast Joe Broke have pounded this -3 and the line remains the same. Homefield advantage is huge here fellas.
