thanks fellas. yeah, Iowa over was a lot better play at 43. that's a waste. i don't blame you for being skeptical about that over, as i'd imagine that a lot of people will expect this to be a low-scoring game. thing is, both teams are pretty disciplined, don't give away a lot of plays/points to punts/penalties, relatively speaking, and i think that the offensive lines will actually outshine the d-lines in this game. again, i know i'm probably in the minority there, esp given Iowa's d-line, but AZ has a ton of experience up front. i think it's a close game, both teams get 4 scores. we'll see, but of my 3 i posted, that's clearly the one that would prompt some questions. BOL to you this weekend.

Lester giving two scores when he, his team and his gigantic head are feeling good about themselves? sign me up. if i was up units on the season, this would be my 5* play, but gotta earn that. if LSU wins, it's by a FG max, i say. 20-19.

hmm, like that even better. thanks, pal. thinking maybe a little on miss st ML +270. if parlayed with 3 decent but safe faves, can get it to about +600. nobody leaves the backdoor open like Lester, and if parlayed with early games (MSU/LSU 8 pm EST kick), could make for a nice value. gonna have to think that over, but always in the market for a new way to fade Lester.

I also like kansas +3 (1st half)
-Kansas is goin to score first in this game. IF that happens, kansas is goin to have an easy cover for the first half.

This pick scares me BIFF. I like your ARkansas pick for obvious reasons. I told a friend that this game won't even be close and he didn't believe me. I predicted Georgia 21 ARkansas 42 and that's not even because I live in Hog country. I just know this team really well I know Georgia somewhat. But good luck.

thanks, hoop, good to see you. i'll take a look at KU 1H. i have that game as Southern Miss 28-20, but didn't spend much time on it because my forecast was close enough to make it no-play. will look further today.

Iowa plays eight Big Ten games every year. heh heh. i'm guessing you meant Pac-10. the answer is no. this is the second year of a home-and-home with AZ, but Iowa doesn't generally play Pac-10. i don't know for certain, but my guess would be that Mike Stoops' ties to Iowa (played there then was an assistant there) were the catalyst for that deal. it's a better deal for Arizona than for Iowa, i'd think.

hey, i take it you're a Purdue fan. the injury to Keith Smith blows, sorry to see that for your team. he was my #1 pick in my B10 FFL league. phooey.

thanks, daprospecta. as hoop guru correctly noted above, LSU has been straight shit in the SEC as a fave since winning their national title. i'll freely admit that i harbor a strong anti-Les Miles sentiment, but it's mostly based upon how many stupid mistakes, penalties and clock management errors we see every year from him and his damn fine football time. you're an SEC guy, though, so i'm interested as to why it scares you. i'll admit, i'm not optimistic that Miss State can do a lot on offense at LSU given that they had trouble at home against Auburn, but at the same time, they held Auburn's offense to 17, and LSU just has an unreal ability to turn games into FG-filled shitfests as a favorite under Lester. Absent defensive/special teams TDs, i don't see how LSU gets more than 20-24 points here, and i think Miss State should be able to muster 16-20 even against LSU's solid defense.

It scares me because State will get down early. If Relf was a good qb then it would be a great play but one thing I've learned is that it's hard to keep a good qb down. If State gets down early, they will abandon the run and look for Relf to bring them back. I've seen him last year and this year and while he has gotten better, he isn't ready for 4th quarter comebacks. Yates did it to them because he is a senior and is seasoned and a bit underrated. But hey, just my two cents. I'm only hitting 57% this year so take it with a grain of salt.
