Well I watched Cali destroy UCLA last wk, Im well aware that Nevada has a somewhat decent team, Ive seen that tall lanky qb play, he is not too bad...

Cal destroyed "Colorado" last wk. On paper, the Bears are at least 10 points better than the Wolfpack. But the games arent played on paper, they are played on grass. In the past 4 years, the only non conference game the Bears have lost is the slip up at Maryland. Besides that theyve dominated. Conversely, Nevada has not beaten a superior team early in the schedule during that time frame. Bears SHOULD roll them, especially since Nevada lost 66% of their 3 headed monster running game. But betting is about what will happen, not what should. I am a Bears fan, and I can honestly say this is not a spectacular squad, its typically average. This is a look ahead game for Cal, playing Zona next week, and this is like Nevada's superbowl and they will play their hearts out in front of their fans. There is a reason why the oddsmakers opened the line at only -1 for CAL, when talent wise they are far superior. I would be careful here. If they cant stop the triple option because the D doesnt show up.....upset city.

Yes UNR can hang with Cal especially on their home turf here in Reno, Nevada.

How did Nevada lose 66% of their running game?
Lippincott is gone, but Kaepernick and Taua are both back. Or did I miss something about one of these players?

Thanks for the input! On one hand I could see it being a close game possibly, however I could see Cali running the table on Nevada, im going to do more research matchup-wise...

My mistake, I thought Taua was a senior...havent seen the Wolfpack play this year yet. Lippincott is a big loss though.

Lippincott sucked, jmo. Cals run D chronically underrated. Lean to the Bears and the under.

Possible let down game for Cal. I'm going to let the line keep going up then take Nevada ML. I think Nevada is going to get it going in the air in this one and surprise Cal. I'm not sure Nevada's defense can stop 5th graders but they will make the least mistakes and this one might go down to the wire.
This is Nevada's early superbowl. It will also be a big stage for Kaepernick to show that he can actually throw the ball as well.

exactly this is Nevada's superbowl, biggest game of their season. The Pac-10 is overated and the WAC teams that are good are always trying to prove their point. If Nevada can beat Cal they will also be helping out Boise as well. Cal has the more talent here but they might get caught looking ahead to their game in the desert vs Arizona the following week.
