Mississippi State vs. LSU (play this ASAP!)

i wasn't impressed by chris Relf or Tyler russell at home vs auburn. They went 16 of 34 for 129 yards passing no Tds 1 INT. Now they face a better defense imo in the home opener night game @ death valley that is a lock to be a sellout place is going to be rockin... i think Drake Nevis is going to be a problem inside and i think sam montgomery is going to put some heat coming off the edge. Chad Bumphis looks like the bulldogs best playmaker he'll matched up with pat peterson im sure. Lsu owns the bulldogs i will
ML parlay this with something get close to even $$$ good luck we both agree Lsu probably isn't losing the home opener vs miss st.

neither team is that special and when that is the case I stay away. If you have to play, go with Miss St

Those are some great points you made. I really feel like LSU is superior to State as far as talent is concerned, but I feel as though LSU is going to get outcoached. LSU will probably pull it out late in the 4th qtr. Hope you hit that ML parlay. GL

I always look at LSU night games and take that into consideration when picking for or against them. The big factor I am looking at is LSU's offense. Auburn has an explosive offense that is going to put up major numbers all year and Miss St. held them to 17 pts. and shut them out in the 2nd half. I don't see LSU scoring more than 10 pts. (unless they get a D touchdown). I also understand people who might think their D will shut out Miss St., but they did give up 436 yds to the depleted UNC team. I see Miss. St. keeping this within 3. Easy play for me.

LSU has HUGE quarterback issues. Jordan Jefferson is playing himself out of a job. I look for a new starter this week against Mississippi State.

You are dead on im not sure what jarrett Lee did to Les Miles but he is the better qb of the two... Lee has the stronger arm, accuracy, and quicker release he just seems to crap his pants come game day. possible mental midget he is , people laugh but Jarrett Lee has the tools to walk into the combine a have an awesome showing Jordan Jefferson will be at home eating cheese puffs and Lee might be on an NFL roster. Every Lsu practice report i get Lee is lights out but i dont think Miles and Crowton trust him enough to let him start

GL i probably wont watch this game to much stress ... maybe LSU can get its first points of the 3rd qtr this year in this game

Mr. T, I was told Lee outplayed Jefferson all during spring practice. Something has to be done or LSU is in for a long season. Right now, I'd take the Bulldogs this weekend. I watched LSU play Vandy and that score was misleading to say the least.

I hope State wins but I just cannot bring myself to put money on them playing in 'death valley'. I'm about 40% sure they win outright but again...just can't pull the trigger. Good luck to all of you Bully backers

Night Game in Baton Rouge... LSU wins this one. The line is at -8 right now. I would buy a pt to play it safe but I think the Tigers win by 10 or more.

Ive been saying it all along.

That said, LSU hardly ever loses in Death Valley under the lights. No play for me.

Playing in 'death valley' at night is not going to all of a sudden make Jordan Jefferson a better quarterback. LSU has major issues on offense and State will not be intimidated by the 'death valley' hoopla. Look at what LSU did last year at night, in death valley against Florida. LSU's offense looked horrible. Plus, Florida played it very conservative since Tebow was making his first game back from an injury. Not saying that Florida is a Miss. State, but I am talking about LSU here and they have some major problems right now. Look at that spread. Most places have it at LSU -7. It has already dropped a point and half. The only chance that LSU has to cover is letting Lee start. Mississippi State has been game planning all week for Jefferson.

I understand what you mean. Lee is not the same qb he was 2 years ago.
Back then, he was a true freshman who was thrown to the wolves in SEC play.
He was listed third on the depth chart before he got pushed into the starting role.
He has come a long way since then and looked sharp in the final 5 minutes of the
Vandy game. The team looked more energized with him out there. I hope you are
not insinuating that Jefferson is that much better. LSU can't be any worse by letting
Lee show how far he has come since then (18yrs. old and true freshman). He is a junior
now and is smarter. Plus, Jefferson blows IMO.

LSU's biggest liability will be the coaching as usual. Having said that I don't feel like State will come in and win on the home opener at night. The defense is going to play well. Someone mentioned how the defense did against NC, but in typical Miles fashion nearly the whole 2nd team was on the field for most of the 2nd half. I would like to see Lee get some playing time but who knows. Miss State really didn't impress me vs Auburn the other night. I will wait for the line to move and take LSU minus the points.

MSU has the better offense but LSU has the better defense. Defense usually wins games.

But Les Miles and LSU's total football IQ means this will be a close game. 1st half MSU should be the play here even in death valley. LSU may pull it out in the end but it will be close as far as covering -8.

The O/U should be 30. MSU's offense is over rated and LSU just doesnt have one. I like LSU's special teams and I like MSU to make the errors that give LSU a 19-9 win.

This game is tough for me but I am leaning towards LSU for a few reasons. They are tough at night at home and this is their home opener. Still the loudest place on earth in my opinion. I also thought Auburn hurt themselves with some terrible play calling. They could have put MSU away in the second half but would run double reverses, double passes, delayed misdirections. I also though Cam should have handed it off numerous times when he kept it and would lose yards. To sum it up, MSU's defense did not impress me at home in a prime time game. LSU doesn't have much of an offense but maybe can get it together at home enough to put up 25ish points. I think with LSU's defense that will cover easily.

This game becomes a no play if the line drops below 7.5

It looks solid if it ever jumps back up to 9.

Those who are taking LSU, don't throw your remote at the T.V. when Les Miles calls for the option.

I truly like State plus the points in the range I mentioned above.

QB Jefferson has taken a step back from last season, when he had simi-decent statistics but wasn't consistent or decisive. This year he's 56 percent passer with 247 yards, two touchdowns, two interceptions, two sacks, and an intentional grounding penalty through two games. Some closer to the LSU program would know better, but it seems to me the offense doesn't have much confidence in Jefferson. Heck, seems Jefferson doesn't have much confidence in himself.
