I just ordered this as well. Looking forward to reading it. Another book you guys might like is "The Smart Money" by Michael Konik. Takes you inside the workings of The Computer Group, Billy Walters' group that took the casinos for millions on sports betting. Though in the book the names are fictionalized. He calls them The Brain Trust instead. Interesting stuff.

Couple of possible reasons for the Boise/Va Tech line movement... One is the close call TCU had -- a BCS buster similar to Boise -- with Oregon State. Lost ATS and came close to losing straight up even though playing at home. (I know Paco was on the winning side of that wager.) Also the fact that Boise had a hard time with Ryan Matthews and Fresno State's inside running game last year, and that Va Tech has two good power runners.

I'm with Paco on this. I've had good fortune the last two years betting against Va Tech in their early season games. I also took the over on this when I was able to get it at 49 1/2 weeks ago. It's now moved to 52 or so.

I'm on Boise, they've got too many starters back (20), VT's 0-21 vs. top 5 away from home, VT only has 4 returning starters on defense, VT likes to run the ball too, and in the games that got big coverage last season with basically the same Boise team, Boise held Oregon to 17 yards rushing, and TCU to 34 yards rushing...and on top of that, Boise just seems to step up in the big games....BOISE +2

Grrr I was thinking about making a small wager on VaTech if they moved to -1 by morning time. Which i think will happen. I love betting on a team that starts off as an underdog and then becomes a favorite. Just wished you were taking VaTech paco so i could feel more comfortable.

Yah ankh but if i recall right, i think the there was more people betting on Washington where as this is not the case. Although now more people are piling on, there is still the majority on Boise.
