I think the over is the right play. Navy can really push the envelope even with the ground based offense. Also Dobbs does have the ability to get the ball downfield. Its especially a good tactic for Navy because you only see them throw 10 or fewer times per game.

I watched every Navy game that was televised last year. The triple option, the way NAVY runs it, is really disruptive to the opposing defense. This year Navy brings back most of its offensive starters. And, all during the off season they have been practicing a no huddle offense. And they have two deep passing threats, so they have added a pass option to the triple option. A quintuple option?
Navy's defense is weak.
I look for a high scoring game with Navy coming out on top.

I've got NAVY -0.5 on a teaser. For some reason I'm still worried. And I know Maryland sucks. They suck hard.
No more of that talk, or I'll put the leeches on you.

I like the Terps plus the points here. I love betting Navy when they're a dog, not when they're the fav. They're a solid well coached team but I don't think they should be laying -6.5 here. Maryland will be more improved than last years disaster. I don't know who will win but I see it being a close game so give me the +6.5.

Me too. Yes Navy is good at the wrong but Maryland's defense is actually good against the run. There secondary is suspect but Navy can't take advantage of that.

is Maryland EVER good in Football, seriously, this team never gets any publicity
Navy is a tricked up triple option attack that can run the ball play after play and down your throat, but is dead meat if they fall behind.
tough call here

I have to say I haven't studied up on these 2 teams much for this season. But Maryland has sucked ass for years now & NAVY has been pretty kick ass for a couple years now. The line opened around 10 & is now down to about 6 or 7??? Who the fuk are these people bringing this line down? What am I missing? I wouldn't bet on Maryland with JJ's money

Forget the over analyzing sh1t. Just take Navy. Navy still has an experienced QB, and he'll be the difference in them covering by more than 7. Plus, Navy is also very good defensively.
Maryland hasn't recruited anybody worth nothing, so this is the same team from last year that went 2-10. This team was atrocious last year, barely beating Division 2 James Madison in overtime. The only thing positive that Maryland can boast about is that they're in a BCS conference, and that's it.

Tough call Navy runs the ball 99% of the time and drains clock. Better hope there D is good enough to win it for you.

Navy recorded one of the fastest played games in history last year. They ate up so much clock that the game finished in just around 2 hours. That makes the UNDER very attractive here. Frostno98 hit it on the head. Navy is the only play for me.

I agree the triple option is hard enough to defend as it is !! The defense killed them last year also !

Navy n under, if navy gets the early lead they will drain that clock leaving little time for marylands offense to get in a groove. Navy will score a lot but it will take a lot of time for them to do so, therefore liking the under quite a bit

Be careful Vegas just sucking in the public at 6.5............Maryland played some good games last year with a developing team...........personally I would just play the over.............

Maryland has nothing to offer here. They lose 6 starters on defense. I do not think they will be able to defend Navy's triple option.

maryland was not good at all last year, i think they only won 1 road game last year vs a mid major. I just dont see maryland playing well there just not that good and navy returns 13 starters including dobbs hard not to like navy

the most ironic thing is that a few years ago Navy would never have gotten this much respect with the betting public.....in fact they would have been dismissed as a "bet against".
granted there is not a full slot of games but it is still ironic

The only advantage that the triple option has IMO is that most teams don't see it so they are not use to defending it... BUT, if you notice, teams that have a lot of time to stop it usually do a great job of stopping it, i.e. bowl games and to start the season.
Navy may be the better team but Maryland may be up to the task of stopping the option. Is Navy's passing game up to the test? This game could really go either way but I'm leaning Maryland based on line movement alone.
