Well the line is up to 9.5 - 10 now, who knows where it will end up at game time at this rate.

Don't let zboiz see this, but LSU's offense is six shades of awful. Bottom of the league last year and there's not much coming back to get excited about (Jordan Jefferson was the 97th rated QB in FBS).

When you currently have over a TD of value and numerous players out for UNC, I don't see why you would attempt a middle with the position you are in. Also, if you liked LSU in the first place then now you should be very confident with your play.

Middle it, no question. By the way Cakas, are you going to start your thread that you had last year with the non-major conference games? I hope so.

I don't think I'd middle the bet. With 13 Starters out, I don't see how UNC can win this game. 2 Running backs and Little is out. 2 Starting Corners and 2 D ends out.

Not worth the middle if only one of them hits. Might as well just stick with the LSU ML.

This is football and stranger things have happened (USC losing to a 41 pt dog Stanford comes to mind). I've seen teams rise to the occasion when overmanned many times in Football and basketball. Yes the probability is low but it is possible. If I had a large amount of money on the game, then I would middle and not take the chance. If it's a small bet than I'd probably let it ride...

BUT... my head is telling me to take UNC 1st quarter and 1st half despite the suspensions. LSU will probably cover but it won't be until the 2nd half. Watch...

I agree, but...UNC and LSU was supposed to be 2 solid defenses going at it. UNC is missing 6 Defensive starters and their best WR and 2 RB's.

LSU's offense struggles, but should still be able to win the game without a doubt.

If he bet 103 to win 100 on LSU moneyline, and then bet 110 to win 100 on UNC +8.5, how much would he hedge to bet it?

You are correct, but that was LAST year. They have a ton of talent with more experience on offense now. LSU will win easily. I will not try to debate this issue. You will see it for yourself after you watch the game. Also, there is no way that I would try to middle the play. The ticket already has a lot of value. I would enjoy the game and cash my ticket later. LSU by at least 2 td's.

Given the circumstances, LSU still has value even if it jumps to -14.

I think LT put it best though. He sees this situation more clearly than others.

If you middled, you would have won both ways... LSU ML should have lost as UNC was this close to winning the game and a PI probably should have been called.

No such thing as an easy win, especially with Les Miles coaching.
