I like the blue collar Vtech. I hate Boise's easy schedule, dont know how a team can win 1 or 2 good games a year and be considered for the championship.

I'm not particularly a huge VA fan but I'm jumping on their bandwagon for this game. I don't think Boise will have anything for the rushing attack and the corners of VA will keep a very overrated Kellen Moore in check.

I think with this being a season opener...both teams realize they HAVE to win this or its no title. The crumble under pressure excuse doesnt apply here...its week 1 for god's sake! This is Boise's top 2-3 tough games so they know what's at stake. As far as running the ball, yeah it eats up clock and wears down D. But with Boise's air attack...that is ESTABLISHED, and with returning starters (more than capable players) they know the system, they know how each other think, and they know how to score. VT D is at a lose with the pass. Say they stop a few passes, Boise has the capability to score on any shot against this secondary. VT will wear down by mid 3rd and the run game and D will be out of gas. I think lock this game up, buy the hook to make it less than 1 possesion, and build the bank roll. Plus, with VT semi weak middle due to players leaving, BOise IF they run the ball, will suprise the D and they will draw lots of extra yardage. Expect the LB to cheat and the S of VT to over play a lot of coverage and get burnt hard.

I grant you VT may pound the run game - and run game is vital. But if the other team can score at will in the air, it is going to be a long day for you.

Boise returns 20 starters, the most in the country.

Va Tech only returns 5 starters on defense with only 1 on the defensive line.

I just can't see transitioning defense stopping an offense like Boise in its first game together.
