Mizzou starting RB not playing, does this make OK a better pick? I was leaning towards Mizzou with the spread, but not sure now. I know the RB does not contribute as much as RB's on other teams, but this should factor a bit.
With Mizzou RB not starting, does this help?

#2Mizzou is better than Texas and Oklahoma worked very hard to beat a bad Texas team. Mizzou is passing friendly and Oklahoma will have a had time keeping up with the score. I'll take the points for Mizzou. Mizzou is much better than people think.Comment -

#3Mizzou is a good team, especially since Chase Daniel matured so much from last year to this year, but they are not better than Texas. Texas has looked lost all year, but I think that if they played in a neutral site, Texas would probably be about 6 pt favorites and probably cover.
Mizzou ranks 106 out of 119 in TOP mainly because are a passing team with an average running game and their defense is average at best. Martin Rucker will probably have a great game tomorrow and I dont think that the loss of Tony Temple will impact them significantly. Jimmy Jackson should fill in adequately. The team will live or die by Chase Daniel.
I do like Mizzou to cover tomorrow at 12, especially since difference between the #2 best team in the Big 12 and #11 really isnt that big as it used to be.
Parity is catching up in the Big 12 and its becoming more and more evident with all these perennial bad team (Kansas, Kansas St. etc) all being able to compete with the Big Boys.Comment -

#4I got Mizzou at +12.5 and feel pretty comfortable with that, I may double down actually.
*edit*
I decided to double down on TCU -6 instead.Last edited by laxdjock; 10-12-07, 11:24 PM.Comment -

#5I like MU as well here, but come on A&M, calling KSU a bad team, are you kidding me? I believe they have the most Big 12 wins in the league conference or at least in the top 2 or 3. Typically South arrogance. You guys are getting the licking you deserve this year.Comment -

#6Tony Temple has actually had some fumbling problems over the last couple of years...with the tough run D Oklahoma has, I feel more comfortable with him out of the lineup, especially since he would have been playing hurt...Comment -

They just incredibly years lately. What I was trying to say is that K-State (Kansas, and others as well) can now compete and maybe even beat OU, when a couple of years ago, I didnt think that was a possibility. I think Parity has caught up in the Big 12.Comment
