Not sure about steal...but i think it is the right side. USF's win at Auburn does not look that impressive anymore after Miss St went in there and won. WVU still an elite team.

South Florida wrecked W Virginia's season last year by beating them and knocking them out of the top 10. Revenge game has been set for Thursday night and I dont think W Virginia will let them sneak up on them this year. WV currently ranked number 5 has no intentions of leaving the top 10 again at the hands of South Florida. West Virginia wins. But by 7 ??? I still cant pull the trigger. By game time I may but I'm still pondering it.

I think it's a Friday game.

I think this is one of the better games on the schedule. I think the line is set right. Should be a back and forth battle. WV's offense looks very impressive. USF looks solid as well. I will probably take the over if anything. I certainly don't think WV -7 is a steal though...USF could pull another upset.

I watch almost every Big East game and a die-hard West Virginia fan...but there's noway I bet big on this game. If anything I'd take USF with the points...although wait until it goes 7 1/2... USF's defensive line is too fast. They have a good QB...and are tough at home. WVU's defense is still very shaky in the secondary....

don't forget USF beat WVU in Morgantown last year. This game goes to the wire.

I agree I think SF+ the points might be the way to go. I feel though that once the public really looks at this game they may jump on the band wagon and take WVU, this line might move a little bit, I love South Florida at +7.5. I'm going to hold out and see how this plays out.

I suspect the line is pretty close to correct.

I give WVU the advantage offensively. And, of course, they've got the "revenge factor" for whatever that's worth.

I give USF the advantage defensively.

S. Florida looks really good this year, if i remember right their defensive coach used to be at Wisconsin a couple years ago, that could be one of the reasons their D has gotten so good. those big ten teams always stress about stopping the run.

but i'm not playing this game, its a coin toss to me.

Feel pretty good about it. Points should be scored, and WV should win the game. People want WV to be a top-tier team....this game should help it's cause. TOO much firepower. USF is up and coming, but not in the same league as WVU.

Either way, tonight should be fun.

Ok guys, I'm hearing a lot of bad reasons to be on WV tonight.

1) Being a top tier team makes them cover?

Ok, just because WV is ranked #5 does not mean anything. If they were such a high touted team the spread would not be 7 against USF, who a lot of people know nothing about! If USC or LSU were playing in this game I can gurantee you the spread would be between 10-17 somewhere. There is obviously a huge talent difference in between these teams.

2) Revenge game? Don't wanna leave the top 10?

Yes this is a revenge game, but that will play little effect if no effect in the outcome. If you wanna know something that will change the effect of the game It will be the crowd and the atmosphere at the stadium tonight. This is the biggest game in the history of USF football, if you think for a minute these guys are not gonna use the crowd and the emotion of the game to there advantage your crazy. WV has a lot of pressure on them to go undefeated and make it to the National Championship, they have a lot more to lose in this game then USF does because no one is gonna give USF a shot to win this. I see WV making careless mistakes because of this and almost playing the game "not to lose" which will hurt them tonight.

One more thing I wanna add to this is the intersting fact that WV fans are playing on USF tonight. If there is any people who know WV well its the people that follow them all year. frankly if a WV fan is gonna take USF tonight I'm gonna take that advice because they are the ones that watch them play all year.

On a final note this game reminds me so much of last years Rutgers/Louisville game. That was the biggest Rutgers game in there history and the same holds true for USF. Another note in that game, the spread was 7 just like tonight. I see a lot of the same things happening in tonights game that happened last year. WV backers, be very careful.

well it's tough to win a game on the road when you committ 6 turnovers and your starting QB, who is a heisman candidate, gets injured. If you cause 6 turnovers and are at home you should win the game easily and that just wasn't the case. If anything, USF underperformed tonight.

I am going to put USF on fade alert in the next few weeks as they will be severely overvalued.
