With all everything that has been going on these past few years in regards to very suspicious type play, I will continue not to wager on any of these games. That Toledo point shaving scandal just confirmed what I felt was happening for about the last 2 years now.

Will you continue to wager on the MAC conference this year, or pass on it like I plan on doing?

What the hell are you talking about...? If you suspect a game is fixed it's even easier to bet on then one that is not...

I'm still on it. I've won more (higher %) games in the MAC than any other conference for several years now. However, I must admit I attended Marshall U and Ohio U, so I'm probably a little more knowledgeable of the conference than most.

Your right about that. The problem is look at all the wacky endings to some of those games these past few years. Even the sharpest of lines I noticed didn't seem to matter last year. How can you possibly know that a coach is gonna go for a 2 point conversion instead of kicking the obvious point after attempt that most normal coaches would kick in a meaningless point or two or what have you.

How could you NOT know that..? If you don't know Stets doesn't kick and also goes for it at the oddest times then you don't know Toledo football.... He's been doing this for years...

Amstutz doesn't believe in kicking, never has - fg's or punting for that matter. If you watch a Toledo game, you'd swear you were watching a Madden NFL video game... no kicking allowed!!!

I know this guys, however I'm talking about an NIU game last year. They were up like 21 points (give or take) with like 8 minutes in the game. Why would anyone go for 2 points in those types of cases? In the MAC conference that seem to happen quite a bit these last few years it seemed like IMO.

I understand what you're saying BBD. That is a bit much, even for Stutz... but I'm not really surprised either. I don't think point shaving would've come to mind if I was watching the game live... not with his history.

Well if you guys know he likes to run it up then why not take Toledo more...? He don't kick much because AS I SAID BEFORE..hasn't had a good kicker besides "Todd Franz" since Rutsy Hannah in 91'... With Franz he did kick...

my theory is you've got to be able to watch the conference on TV and it's harder to get those games on TV (other than the mid-week ESPN crap games)...

obviously, some schools don't have the money to provide their players.

If I can find value in a MAC game, I will bet it.

Probably the safest conference to bet now with all the attention.

Someone should open a sportsbook that flips people's selections for them, placing the wager on the other side from what was put down. If there was such a book, I'd bet MAC games all the time!
