    Gaston Monescu's 9/24 Teaser picks
Here's my 10 pt teaser plays for the weekend. I like the insurance of points, but I also like that it gets me interested in following games that I probably wouldn't care to. Would appreciate your feedback.

    10 Point Teaser (3 Teams) 10/22/09 07:06 ET
    bet 830.00 to win 691.67

    BoiseSt
    Hawaii 10/24/09(23:00 ET)
Hawaii +35 - Hawaii isn't a good team this year, but they haven't been pounded by 35 this year. I don't think this will happen at home. With their new QB, I think they can put some points on the board, thus thwarting a thrashing.

    CFlorida
    Rice 10/24/09(15:30 ET)
CFlorida 0 - This is another bet against a winless Rice team. Central Florida will win.

    NIllinois
    MiamiOhio 10/24/09(13:00 ET)
NIllinois -1 - This is really a play against the winless Miami Ohio.

    10 Point Teaser (3 Teams) 10/21/09 23:45 ET
    bet 890.33 to win 741.94

    MinnesotaU
    OhioSt 10/24/09(12:05 ET)
MinnesotaU +26.5 - This is a play against Pryor and Ohio St. Minnesota plays pretty good pass rush defense and I don't think Pryor can do much with a lack of a wide receiving core and running back.

    OregonSt
    USC 10/24/09(20:05 ET)
OregonSt +31 - Oregon St. isn't that bad. Canfield is a competent QB and he's also got a pretty versatile running back/receiving core. USC will win, but not by that margin.

    SMU
    HoustonU 10/24/09(19:35 ET)
SMU +26.5 - SMU - I see this conference game played pretty tough. SMU is perfect in conference play. While Houston have demolish some teams, I think it's fair to say that SMU is not a Tulane or a Northwestern St. Lastly, factor in that Houston is 1-10 ATS.

Can't wait for the weekend. Best of luck to all.

Just a caveat, I think a strong play for a teaser or on its own is Louisville +18. I just think with Cincinnati's qb situation up in the air, it makes 18 pts a lot to cover. Tease it and forget it.

only concern: boise may be looking to throw some points up this weekend since they failed too on national tv last week. Hawaii's D is porous, at best. i love the other two bets in it though. Especially love the last teaser, way to manipulate the lines for a very likely dog to beat a HUGE spread. All 3 of the those games may be closer than the original line, but the room is nice. best of luck

Thanks for the feedback! I had that concern about Boise St. running up the score too, but I get the impression that Chris Peterson will play it like a gentleman since he's basically saying that he only wants to score enough to win. Hopefully he sticks to that gameplan. And moreso, I hope Hawaii puts points on the board to help their cause.
