Ok let's see if I will actually keep up with keeping a season thread! lol
I guess officially I'm 0-1 on posted plays after the Huskers blew a 17-0 halftime lead. Obviously, that's not the only bet I've made this football season but to be fair.... I posted it so I will take that loss.

Friday 9/13

Boston College -21
BC is well BC. They prefer to run. They have a decent offensive line. Kansas will get better under 1st year coach Les Miles. But what an ugly start! They barely beat Indiana State and lost at home to Coastal Carolina? Who I might add.... just ran and ran and ran on Kansas. The Jayhawks are in trouble this week. This one could get ugly.

Nebraska -14
Yes, another homer pick. But hear me out here. Northern Illinois is not a terrible team. They came into Lincoln 2 years ago and beat the Huskers. They hung around with #11 Utah in the first half last week and only lost 35-17. This game reminds me of the Minnesota game last year. Nebraska started off the season 0-5.... then looked like they were going to beat Northwesters (ESPN had Nebraska as a 99% chance of winning in the 4th quarter) but things fell apart and they lost. The following week they played Minnesota and beat them 53-28. Nebraska's offense has not been good this year. There are some issues..... especially with the offensive line. One thing Nebraska learned last week was no lead is a safe lead. Frost will try to get this offense going this week and they wont let up. I know Frost would love to get the backup QBs some reps in the game if they can get a comfortable lead. Ohio State is in 2 weeks so no worries of looking ahead quite yet. The only concern here is getting the offense going and I think the Huskers will do this at home.

Iowa State +2.5

I think a lot of people will be on Iowa this week. Iowa state did not look impressive in their 3 point win over Northern Iowa. Iowa has started off the season with 2 impressive wins. Iowa has won the last 4 in this series. Brock Purdy watched this game from the sidelines last year. This kid has a lot of talent. I really like what Matt Campbell is doing at Iowa State. I think the Cyclones get the win at home here.

Texas is a very good team. Rice is not. But is Rice really THAT bad? I would have to think there will be a little hangover after the LSU loss. Plus Texas doesn't seem to be the team that wants to pour it on. They were up 38-0 against La Tech then La Tech score 2 tds in the 4th. With Oklahoma State up next I think Texas keeps everyone healthy.

kansas can barely score on those 2 teams...it is hard to see them even scoring here. i know strange things happen on friday nights, but this is the only way to go i think on the spread. i got on the under before it started dropping. gl this week. if i had to choose i would be with you on all of these...tho that is not always such a good thing lol.

Glad to see Kansas play their best game in 10 years. Oh well. Was definitely on the wrong side in this one.

I have a pretty nice card that I'm working on for this week but I wanted to get this game out there now before the line gets too crazy.

Nebraska -11

Yep! on Nebraska for the 3rd straight week (highly doubt I will like the line in the Ohio State game next week).
Illinois is a train wreck. Lost to E Mich last week and barely got by UConn the week before. Nebraska beat Illinois last year 54-35... but that score is a little misleading. AJ Bush was a Nebraska transfer that played his heart out in front of the Nebraska crowd. Nebraska led 45-21 after 3 quarters and held on for the 19 point victory. Frost is focusing on finishing games after the collapse in Colorado...… so while I'm not saying he will run up the score.... but he's not going to like seeing Illinois score late and make this one interesting. Nebraska's defense had a good showing last week not giving up a touchdown the entire game. I know Illinois had some defensive injuries last week and I'm not sure if any of those players will be playing this week..... but I never put any stock into players that sat out last week due to injuries. I cant see Illinois keeping this one within 21 points.

Another pick for this week.... Northwester/Michigan State UNDER 40.

You may get a better line if you wait on this one. The line has actually moved up from 38.5.

Michigan State has the best defense in the Big 10. Add their below average offense and they play a lot of low scoring games. Northwestern's offense is nothing to get excited about. Scoring 7 against Stanford (24 total points in that game) and scoring 30 against UNLV. Michigan State lost 10-7 against Arizona State last week.

Looking back to last year, Northwestern won 29-19. (maybe that's why the line has gone up) That was one of the few games that went over the total last year. After that game Michigan States game totals were 39, 28, 36, 27, 32, 15, 24, and 13 total points in the bowl game (Oregon).

2 of those game were against Michigan (28 total points) and Ohio State (32 total points)

I think Michigan State is embarrassed about last years game against Northwestern. New QB for Northwestern..... I expect him to struggle against this defense.

Listen BITCH..... yes I have a favorite team. Who on here doesn't? We all know you love the USC Condoms. THEY SUCK. But I will give you credit for sticking by your sorry ass team. YOU PICKED USC LAST WEEK. THEY DID NOT WIN. THEY DID NOT COVER. As far as the Nebraska Ohio State game goes..... I'm a gambler. If I chose a side it will be based on my knowledge of both teams and not because of who I follow. I know EVERYTHING about Nebraska football. So for me to share my knowledge with the forum makes sense.

My prediction for the Ohio State vs Nebraska line next week?
I will guess Ohio State -8.5

As far as this claim that Nebraska "consistently gets beat by Pac 12 teams"..... Nebraska is 37-26 against the Pac 12. So suck it.
The Pac 12 is a joke. Nobody cares about the Pac 12. They will not be in the playoffs again until they expand to 8 teams and force us to watch them. Nebraska made a HUGE mistake hiring a Pac 12 coach who made the weight room an optional thing. SERIOUSLY!?!?

I personally think the wrong team is favored here. Houston has had the tougher schedule playing Washington State and Oklahoma while Tulane has played Auburn and a couple of cupcakes. Houston routed Tulane 48-17 last year. Same QBS for both teams. While I expect a closer game this year.... I dont see Tulane even winning this game..... so I will be happy to take the +5.

But I have to ride with Michigan here. I think this will be a good game and now that the betters have given me the hook I will take +3.5!
