My prediction is a 1 to 2 loss season!! Here is our starting QB Jordan Jefferson who will solidify the QB situation!!

#5I like LSU a lot this year to win us some money. Early lines seem to hint to LSU getting +11 against Florida in the early "Game of the Year" lines coming out . . . . . (that's rumor right now)Comment -

#7Wow, that line seems way to high. Do you really think it will really be LSU +11? I would guess Florida around -3 to -4. Florida does has a bye the week before though.Comment -

#14Florida hung 51 on LSU last year, not sure why this year will be any different.
This is one of those "ZBOIZ" threads that ya just gotta love.
A few weeks back he creates a post proclaiming USC will lose 3 games because of their lack of experience at QB.
Now he creates a post ignoring the fact that LSU's QB has exactly 2 career starts.
Oh yeah, USC's backup....has more career SEC starts than LSU's QB.
But that completely goes over Z's head.Comment -

Remember after Florida won the BCS in 2007 they lost 4 games the next year!! Why cant LSU rebound like that after a National Championship hangover year. Florida has the talent to rebound and also does LSU!! PLAIN AND SIMPLE
And on our QB situation with Jordan Jefferson, this guy is the TRUTH. You heard it first hear!! You dont have to believe me just watch him in the Washington game, or better yet the whole year. This guy never lost as a starting QB in high school he is a TRUE WINNER!! And class 5A player of the year his high school years at Destrahan High School. But me talking about him really serve no point. You will just have to see what I'm talking about.
Also USC QB situation is a little different from LSU!! They have a more experience guy there who SHOULD be ready to take over as starter in Mustang. But from the reports I have read it seems as if Mustang is not impressive at all!! Thats why there saying it's a very very strong possiblity a TRUE FRESHMAN will be starting at QB for USC, which never should happen with a STRONG PROGRAM, UNLESS YOU HAVE DISCIPLINARY PROBLEMS AND YOU HAVE TO KICK PLAYERS OFF THE TEAM. Thats why Pete Carrol was so mad at Sanchez for leaving because he knew he needed more time to figure out the QB situation after Sanchez.Comment -

#19Hoopster you are right.
Listen, USC has the best offensive line in college football, and it isn't even that close. They have a stable of running backs, WRs, and they actually use the TE.
Tebow is the best QB in the SEC, and Snead is second...I don't think anyone would argue those two. After that they are all the same. Not much difference.
ZBOIZ is telling us that a kid who has thrown exactly 73 career passes..and COMPLETED LESS THAN 50% is going to lead his team to some kind of special season...I ain't buying it and no one else outside of Louisianna is either, and better yet...Jefferson's rushing totals are exactly scary. He averaged 2.7 ypc on the 49 times he ran the ball.
Jefferson hasn't played against Alabama, Florida, At Georgia, or At Ole Miss.
Stephen Garcia from South Carolina (who is horrible) averaged 2.8 YPC last year.Comment -

#20MartinBlanks stats can be misleading but like I said there is no point of me ranting about Jefferson you will see what I'm talking about real soon.
Also LSU has a set of proven skill players around them also. You must of forgot that we have 5 running backs that can start on any team in the nation ? Also we have the fastest running back in the nation at Trenton Holliday that everyone knows about. Charles Scott, Keiland Williams, and Murphy !! We also have Brandon Lafell who was projected as a 1st rounder this year at WR, also a kid straight from high school that is the #1 WR in the nation who will be as good as Julio his freshman year in Rueben Randle, Terrance Tolliver who also is a beast..We are stacked!! Also which I know you guys are not HUGE football fans so I know you have'nt heard of the #1 Athlete in the nation is Russel Shepard, who will be in at QB and WR this year. The kid is sick he run a 4'2 and just a complete beast. You tube him and you will see.
But anyway you guys are so stuck into last year but not judging this team as a whole. Thats good that lets me know that the whole nation is sleeping on my Tigers. Thats very good!!
LIKE I SAID FLORIDA LOST 4 GAMES 2 YEARS AGO AND THEN LOST 1 LAST YEAR!! THAT WAS A CHAMPIONSHIP HANGOVER!! WE HAD THE SAME LAST YEAR PLUS D.C COACHING PROBLEMSComment -

#21Also MartinBlank look at his game against G.T!! Thats the only game were he practiced with the 1st team and got a lot of reps at practice to be the starter!! And look at how he performed.
Those stats that your going off of was when he was put in the game for little spots!!
But you'll seeComment -

#222. Louisiana State Tigers (9-2, 20-1): Expectations are big for the former national champions going into 2009, after they “honked” 2008 at 8-5 SU and 3-9 ATS. Just about the only thing LSU was missing last year was a quarterback. They have one now in Jordan Jefferson, who played the final two games of the 2008 season as a freshman and looked like a winner during the spring session. Jefferson could even be good enough for the Tigers to be national title contenders. But first they have to face the Gators at home on Oct. 10.Comment -

#24LSU's defense at home last year was like a giant piece of tissue paper.
They gave up 52 to Georgia at home
They gave up 31 to Troy at home.
They gave up 31 to Ole Miss at home.
27 more to Alabama, even lowly Mississippi State managed 24.
Give LSU credit for one thing. They did bring in Chavis from Tennessee to fix things, but we will see. A ? goes to the LSU defense.Comment -

#25And Z...just so you don't think I am raggin on your Tigers...here is a third party examination of LSU, taken directly from Rivals:
BIGGEST PROBLEM: LSU needs better production from its quarterbacks than it received in 2008. The Tigers killed themselves last year with all the interceptions that got returned for touchdowns. Jefferson's late-season emergence ahs provided plenty of hope that things will change, but LSU fans must keep in mind that he only has made two career starts. On an offense that features so much talent, the lack of a proven quarterback is the biggest reason for concern. Jefferson might develop into the quality quarterback LSU lacked last season, but it's too early in his career to make that declaration now.
Hmm...."too early to make that declaration now".
Isn't that what most of us have been saying?Comment -

#28I see at least 2-3 losses for LSU this year. They won't be able to beat Florida or Alabama on the road so thats 10-2 right there. Not sure about their whole schedule but I wouldnt be surprised to see 3-4 losses if its a decently tough non-conference schedule.Comment -

#29Alabama ?? They have ONE good year and now they own the SEC west?? Alabama went 12-0 in the reg. Season and didn't accomplish anything. No SEC championship or national title. And then got pistol whipped by Utah in the sugar bowl . Alabama has to prove it one more year for meComment -
