In all fairness, Texas couldn't get a fraction of a yard all night when they needed to by simply running it, so two yards to go probably felt like 3rd and a country mile... hence the pass call.

Bottom line is, Texas' defense played admirably all night but their offense stunk the place up time and time again. Painful to watch actually.

They snapped the ball on 3 prior plays at approx 25 sec, 15 sec and 7 sec on clock. They went out of bounds one play. The whole drive was comical. Even without the first down, they could have been punting around 1 min mark.

All game the coaching, play calling and player decision making was so atrocious. I'm always amazed at how bad "high" level college football can be.
