Miami (OH) +6½ vs. 'Cuse

Syracuse hosts Miami (Oh) on Saturday evening, and the RedHawks plus the points are the right play.
Syracuse snapped an 11-game losing streak last week with a surprising 31-21 road win at Illinois.
However, the Illini may have one of the worst teams in the country this season and although Miami (Ohio) is off to an 0-3 start, it is probably a step-up in class for Syracuse. The Orange continue to struggle offensively averaging just 261.7 total yards per game, while the defense is surrendering 370.7 yards per contest, a combination that does not make the 'Cuse trustworthy laying this many points.
The Redhawks obviously have more talent than their record, and we still feel this team will be a force in the MAC before all is said and done. Since opening with a 21-3 loss vs. Northwestern, Miami-O went on the road to Purdue and gave the Boilermakers all that they could handle before succumbing 38-31. And the Hawks then narrowly lost their MAC opener, 16-14, to Kent last week.
We will gladly take these generous points here as we give the Redhawks a chance to win this game on the field.
