#703Based off your #s wouldnt Nebraska spread be the best option or do you plan on playing both?
Also IDK if its just me but it seems like every hockey game nowadays is going over. Just coincidence? Mind you I don't follow i religiously but I swear everytime I look over the scoreboard the games are pretty high scoring.Comment -

#704PSU/OSU - Buckeyes, 40-21/41-20. Similar to UNL/Gophers, catching the dog off of an outstanding performance, fave and/or fave TT over. PSU off huge win over UM then bye, fat and happy. Penn State's inability to control 3rd downs on both sides will be their undoing. Urban will go for BCS style points late off less-than-convincing Iowa game.Comment -

i'm not hockey expert, but early season seems a little high-scoring. as a sport, similar to MLB, i think that value remains in the under, and early season overs should be good for that longterm. cmon Preds/Wild under!Comment -

#707Goalie pads have been reduced on the legs making the 5 hole 25% bigger. This accounts for the higher scoringComment -

#708Getting ready to start the heavy lifting on CFB card. Will be posting with thoughts. That's the last game of my initial 11, but i initially lean Beavs (also Buckeyes, Huskers). I think Stanford is vulnerable with their injuries up front on defense.
In the meantime, tailing Jets ML and Preds/Wild under in pucks tonight, each 1u.Comment -

#710Biff - does TCU make your initial list? Never know which Mack Brown team will show up. Could feel safe after beating Okla and back to playing football w/o a sense of urgency. Or could have turned the corner. Just not sold that Mack Brown can get that same emotion out of his team. Have not watched TCU this year but the line surprised me after Texas big win. I would have thought line would be flopped so when I saw TCU favored wrote it down as one to look deeper. Let me know when you look at this one.Comment -

#711Looking more into this game and you have to consider the possibility Stanford is looking ahead to their big Thursday night showdown with Oregon. Same can be said for Oregon in their game vs UCLA this weekend. Ducks 22pt favs so Bruins might be worth a look. Although I like Oregon St +3.5 better since it's a home game and fact Corvallis is such a tough place to play.Comment -

#714I'm a big Kate Beckinsale fan. They'll have to make her look a little more tan than her normal skin tone, but sounds like a good choice. The fact that Beckinsale is doing makes it sound as if it might be a decent movie. She's not in a position where she needs to take work on shitty scripts.Comment -

#719STF, help me out, pal. In big pool, i have to pick UK/MSU (10'), UT/Bama (28'), S Carolina/Missou (4') sides. Capped all three and like chalk in all three. Get something like:
MSU, 35-17
Tide, 41-7
Missou, 36-26
Missou line seems way fishyComment -

Miss St & Kentucky both coming off bye weeks. Kentucky needed it after a 4 game stretch that included Louisville, Florida, SCarolina & Bama. Neither team has impressed. Kentucky is going with the backup qb this week due to ankle injury of the normal starter. I say normal starter bc the coaches have gone back & forth, rotated both qbs. I like the starter bc he's more of a running threat and can moves the chains with his legs. God knows Kentucky's offense needs help moving the football. I think Miss St is more settled at the qb position, more healthy and playing at home that you have to lay the pts. If you think Miss St can put up 30 pts I think you should be okay as I don't see Kentucky scoring more than 20 pts.
Do you think Mizzou can stop the run? Can they stop Mike Davis? Bc they are about to get a heavy dose. No Connor Shaw this week so they won't have Dylan Thompson dancing around in the pocket too much. Even as stubborn as Spurrier can be he can't afford to lose Thompson. I don't think Mizzou can stop the run. And it will open up the pass and Thompson is a pretty good passer. He's no stranger to big games. I think Clowney shows up early and Maulk struggles in only his 2nd start. I like SCarolina to bounce back and pull off the upset. SCarolina 31-28

#723Biff, I really believe Butch Jones has Tenn on the up swing and as a Dawg fan, I hate Saying it. Tenn will be back to a top 25 team and return to having a say in who wins the SEC East. Two recruiting classes away. That 28.5 pts is a whole helluva lot a pts to lay in the SEC. However Bama is just on another level. they are so good and so consistent on both sides of the ball. I think they are the best team in the country and its not that close. Sorry FSU fans but I'm not ready to take Winston over McCarron in the biggest of ball games and w/ Bama's D I just don't see anyone beating them. Bama makes very few mistakes and I don't see how Tenn can move the ball and they are not a team with explosive play capability. Even though I don't like laying that many pts it's Bama or nothing. Not a real vote of confidence bc Tenn has surprised in back to back weeks vs Georgia & SCarolina granted those were in Neyland. I think Bryant Denny will be a different story for Butch Jones & Tenn. Bama 38-3

Regarding the Bama game, I'd like to point out an observation I made while watching the end of the Bama/Ark game.
Was like 2 or 3 min left in the 4th quarter, Bama up 52-0, Arkansas was driving towards the end zone...and Saban was as intense as I've ever seen him...just absolutely intent that they not let Arkansas score a TD/FG on their home field.
Bama is just on a different planet right now...I see Saban covering 30 points v. Tennessee with EASE.Comment -
