The Alabama Crimson tide may be the best team in both the BCS and the AP polls currently, but that will change this Saturday at 4:00EST in the SEC Championship game. The Florida Gators will win big in Atlanta, and once again prove the BCS is a JOKE. We see this year after year, # 1’s always go down. Don’t be scared of the 9.5/10/10.5, but obviously get the best number you can, with the least amount of juice.
I think this game really comes down to the QB position, and critical decisions in the pocket. Tim Tebow is right in the middle of the Heisman Race with his 22 touchdowns and two interceptions, plus he rushed for another 11. John Parker Wilson on the other hand, isn’t so impressive considering he’s only thrown 8 TDs this year. Not to mention 5 INTs, and has nowhere near as much experience as Tebow. Let’s face it, no hardware. No national championship. No Heisman trophy. Not even in the same class.
Everyone brags about Bama's D, which undeniably is a great squad. But, realistically, these defenses are pretty even, more even then people think. Florida’s given up 102 yds/game on the ground vs. Alabama’s 74, 173 yds in the air vs. 175 yds/game with Alabama, and 12 PPG compared to Alabama’s 11.5 PPG.
Special teams? Florida has the best in the nation. Hands down.
Ask Kentucky which team is better.
Ask LSU while you’re at it as well...
Best case scenario for the Crimson Tide, I can see them coming out and POSSIBLY having a small lead at the half, but watch Urabn Meyer’s boys really take the game over in the 2nd half. I’m sure everyone will be impressed by the time the sun sets.
