The line on this one is-7.Are you kidding me??Should be even or -3 for cen-mich.I usually stay away from the weekday games but I have a strong opinion that CMU gets it done on WED night.I'm going to cash in on this one!!!

This one is really tough for me! I've cashed on CM so much the last few years but I'm a Hoosier and Ball State is really a great Cinderella story! Looking at the numbers CM is 21-2 SU and 17-5 ATS vs the MAC in the last 3 years! Last year was 58-38 in Muncie for the Chips so I'm thinking Over 54.5 is the play here....weather is a high of 34 w/a chance of snow flurries! CM gives up 28 ppg so Nate Davis should put up some points but the best offense the Cards have seen is probably Navy which is one dimensional...CM brings alot of weapons on offense starting with QB Dan Lefevour who completes 67% with a 13-3 ratio along w/5 rushing TDs! CM has played the much tougher schedule w/Georgia, Purdue, and W. Michigan under their belt already so Nate Davis and the boys won't shock them but RB Lewis probably gets 150 here!

I wouldn't be shocked at all if CMU won outright but their D is pretty soft! Hiller from W. Mich. put up 470 yds passing on them although CM still won & covered! Indiana ran all over CM (34 pts) but CM won that one too (with the backup QB)! IU only managed 13 offensive pts vs Ball State so BSU definitely has the better D! I'm guessing I'm about 15-3 on CM in the last 3 yrs betting the Over or taking CM vs teams like N. Illinois last week! CM vs W. Michigan and Indiana were 2 easy overs recently!Comment -

The more I matchup these 2 teams, the more I like Ball State. CMU is dead last in passing defense in the MAC. Ball St can run and pass very well. I'm leaning Ball St.Comment -

Just keep in mind that CM is 21-2 SU in the MAC last 3 yrs and 17-5 ATS!! 21-2 SU and you're getting a TD at home!!
With that being said...I took Over 54.5 because Ball State has a much better D although I'll probably put a parlay on CM +7! CM is 12-2 Over as a dog last 3 yrs

How can you say that Ballst is the better team??They both beat IU.CMU had Purdue beat at PURDUE before that long run at the end of the game.Ballst did beat NAVY.But other than those things they both have Beat up on the MAC.My take here is that they're both pretty equal and getting 7 here is a gift and I'm taking it.And definitely not wishing.I could care less if they win the game.7 is a huge#here!!Comment -
As much as I'd love to parlay CMU ML & the OVER here for 4/1 odds, it's just not a smart play (. The only thing that gives me any interest in CMU is the motivation factor (defending MAC crown, playing at home vs ranked conference foe).
Other than that, Ball St is clearly the better team from every angle - yes, even offensively. Nate Davis is every bit as talented as LeFevour and CMU doesn't have a RB comparable to Miquale Lewis. Ball St has actually scored 90 more points than CMU this season. The real difference is the defense...obviously CMU has none and the Ball St D hasn't given up more than 16 pts since 9/27. Granted, theyve played a soft schedule but CMU has given up twice as many points to the same teams. Ball St doesnt have to engage in a shootout with CMU (like the rest of the MAC) because they have a running game that can prolong drives and they have a defense that doesn't give up many big plays. Ball should easily win the time of possession battle and keep their D rested in the process.
