    Joe Benevidez -800
Wonder if it's a a record for UFC. Almost never see it climb over -650.

Poor Urushit. He was the right guy to get, but the flyweights are as unproven as ESP.

Rolles Gracie was -950 over Joey Beltran... and lost
Penn was -780 over Frankie Edgar... and lost
    Silva was -675 over Maia
    GSP -650 over Hardy
    Fitch -730 over Gono
    Carwin -700 over Neil Wain
    Silva -630 over Cote

That's all I got, as I haven't updated my database in a while...

I bet on the other guy just because...

I'll be the first guy to admit that I haven't seen him fight but in this case it doesn't really matter. Obviously he isn't +600 bad since Joe Silva found it right to include him in the tourny rather than guys like Dodson, Yamaguchi, de Silva, and Montague.

Yeah, he did. He was -650 on 5dimes when I gave out my picks.

I remember a while ago I mentioned taking Roop against Grispi at above +500 and you linked me to BestFightOdds and it showed the line wasn't in that range. Well, it was. Just like how Nick Diaz opened as an underdog but BestFightOdds shows no history of that.

ha well -650 is crazy! That's true they dont always have it right on bestfightodds...but it's usually the openers they miss. Like when I got Russow at -160 opener they didnt show tht as opener on bestfightodds

When you click on a fighters name and see their line history, it's kinda off.

3 or 4 years ago these types of odds were more common but the talent pool in MMA has grown.

GSP was -1500 and Serra was +750 on bodog by fight time
Sokoudjou was + 800 against lil Nog
Houston Alexander was +500 against Jardine
                          All the underdogs won

They all happened around the same time and a few more upsets happened and I think that helped changed things because people saw how crazy the sport is.

I couldn't believe it when I saw him at -1050 on 5D, ridiculous. I predict Mighty Mouse vs. Benavidez for the title, but Uncle creepy is definitely a sleeper.
