    My boxing picks
Hi everyone im a long time sports bettor. I usually bet on boxing.
From now on I will post all my bets here and keep a track record to see how well im doing

    1) parlay € 50 @ +1317
    - Ricky Burns vs. Michael Katsidis, Ricky Burns
    - Tim Bradley vs. Joel Casamayor, Tim Bradley by KO,TKO or DQ
    - Manny Pacquiao vs. JMM, Pacquiao by KO,TKO or DQ

I usually dont play parlays but I had 50 euros on my PaddyPower account and realised I was gonna waste it on poker so instead I made a 3 game parlay with IMO a good risk/reward ratio.

Im also going to put some money on the Toney vs. Lebedev fight.

Probably 200 on Lebedev by KO, TKO or DQ. Still waiting to see if the ods will go up.
At paddypower its -110 at the moment, I expect it to go up to +150

Yes I did. Probably going to place another 200 tomorow. Hoping the odds will go up after the weigh in.

Fat boy Toney will probably gas out and quit by the 11th round - I take it that it is 12 rounds

Yeah its a 12 round fight. Doubt it will go over 6 rounds. Toney is old, punchdrunk and hasnt fought as a cruiserweight in 8 years. He will quit as soon a Lebedev lands a hard punch and collect his paycheck.

Remember Toney is dead broke, he isnt fighting for legacy he is fighting to pay of his debts. He wont risk his health to take 12 rounds of punishment against the hard hitting Russian.

You're kind of scaring me. I've hedged Lebedev by decision against Toney to win. Toney may be punch drunk but he is still defensively gifted. A couple of years back he was taking punches from Samuel Peter. Anyway I hope Toney wins because then I'll be rich.

I've also bet a bit too much on Glen Johnson against Bute. I realise the fight is in Canada and Bute has fast hands and such. But he's also tall and presents a big target, like the LHWs Johnson is used to embarrassing. Carl Froch was small and crouched down, and turned side on so he presented a small silhouette, and he had a big ring. Bute is better than Froch but I don't know if he's as mobile, and maybe Johnson will be anxious to win since he didn't do much against Froch.

Apparently, Bute and Johnson sparred together in preparation for Bute's fight against Librado Andrade, which was one of his tougher fights. And Johnson usually applies more pressure than Andrade. If Johnson wins I'll be very rich.

You could interpret that literally and take it to mean I'll be a millionaire. Or take it context and realise it's a figure of speech. My stake on Johnson is less than 5%. I didn't want to bet that much, but I placed a stake to get matched on Betfair while I researched the fight, and the entire stake got matched at very high odds which I wasn't expecting. I got too caught up with work this week so I couldn't research the match in time.

The funny thing is I was probably going to place a bet on Bute by KO,TKO or DQ

Im going to wait till after the Toney-Lebedev fight. I could be wrong but I have a strong feeling Toney doesnt go 12 rounds with Lebedev and definitly doesnt beat him

I made an additional 135 euro bet on the Toney Lebedev fight. This is what it is in total

                          2) Denis Lebedev-James Toney
                          €300 on Lebedev by KO,TKO or DQ @ +137

                          3) Denis Lebedev-James Toney
                          €35 on Lebedev in round 1 or round 2 @ +1373,33

i can understand folks figuring this as easy money...toney is 43...and dropped an awful lot of weight to get to cruiser...

but this sounds vaguely like the same sort of stuff i was reading prior to tarver/green...granted,this is a little bit more extreme..but, the fact that a completely shot, glass jawed roy jones went to the 10 with lebedev(and was actually leading on one card and close on another) would scare me(if i were wagering on lebedev)...

i have no idea what kind of "real" shape toney`s in at this point in his career....but it looks like he`s fighting a pocket banger....and that is exactly the kind of fighter that he has a chance with....

and who knows if he`s dabbled in any ped`s?....i think it`s been an issue in his past...might be why he was able to make the cruiser limit...

betting on toney getting stopped is a ballsy move...

personally,i might just take a small flyer on toney(+450..although it would be very tough to get a decsion in russia)...or par the over 9.5 with something...

a bit of a crap shoot...lots of huge ????...hopefully we get something similar to the old toney/valery jirov classic from back in the day....i remember jirov, another soviet lefty was 33-0 at the time...great fight...

i`m off today....might grab a stream and catch this one...

btw..putting a fin on the draw prop at +3500

                              g.l. everybody

I don't think Glen Johnson wins. Bute is very good and will probably get a home decision, and Johnson can be beaten. If I recall Allan Green controlled portions of his fight with Glen, but Green and Johnson spar together consistently and are very good friends.

But if Johnson really turns it on there is a possibility he wins. I doubt he can be stopped by Bute since I've never seen him hurt except against Tavoris Cloud. BHop never hurt Johnson just dominated him.

I lost pretty big on Johnson against Froch. I have to say I was surprised Froch turned sideways like that and galloped around.

Lebedev could have stoped toney if he attacked more. Anyway I hope Burns wins tonight against Michael Katsidis
