I got 4 units straight up on Koch. Brookins has horrible striking defense but his chin overall isn't too bad. But this just seems like a very very tough match up for him. I see Koch winning this. This is my only play of the night too. I'm thinking about opening up my underdog's thread again but probably won't start that until next week. Good luck to you on your plays!

Word, I'm on ellenberger too...I got $400 on Ellenberger to win $640...

I won't lie I'm confident in this, but I'm also very nervous as I rarely lay more than a hundo on any kind of a dog.

However, I've broken this fight down in my head many ways, and I really have a hard time seeing shields win this. He's struggled against guys half the wrestler and half the defensive grappling of ellenberger... Everyone is basing his tds off hendo's fight, but I am not taking that too seriously as hendo looked like he had no legs and back strenght what-so-ever, and I also think ellenberger is the better mma wrestler. I give shields an big edge in jitz obviously and I think he will be more effective in close tie ups and scrambles. But ellenberger's defensive wrestling will keep this on the feet I think, or at least that's what I'm banking on! I wouldn't be surprised if he changes levels and goes for a td here and there. I think his defensive grappling and surviving the rocha onslaught will keep him from getting subbed.

Also thinking about a str8 play on stone as I've noticed many people are big on him on here and have interesting breakdowns. However, one thing I noticed was that stone's best win was against a 6-2 guy, everyone else had losing records / over .500 if I remember correctly, while walker has fought the same type comp but more of it. It seems walker is stand up based where stone is wrestling / grappling, which I favor in this match up. Hougland got walker down numerous times, and I've heard stone is much better on the ground, so I like him I guess.

            Also kinda like peralta.

Wish koch opened on my bookie site sooner, he's at -200 right now and that's a bit pricey for me...

Would have actually had bets but it turns out not a damn casino in town is taking action on this card. Supposedly has something to do with football season or the Mayweather card, I don't fuckin know.

Anyway, I'd go with Dunham/Belcher and Rocha if I could. Was going to go hard on Stone, and decent on Baczynski and Lullo before the lines went to hell, but now I'd advise treading lightly on those.

I haven't seen anything in Lopez's fights to warrant being a 5-to-1 favorite. Edwards isn't reliable but he's a comer and might be worth a fly at +320.

was thinking the same, yang is a beast and I can see court having trouble getting it to the mat where he wants it. I actually think yang might be the better wrestler...

Pulled the trigger on stone as well and got $320 to win $200. Won't lie, I'm tailing a lot of people on here and going with their breakdowns, something I rarely do... However I did some resaerch too and I thnk their views are justified and I hope he wins it because I'll be pissed at myself if he doesnt haha.

EIther going to be a great night or a horrible one! GL to all and enjoy!

Only took the over 2.5 as couldnt rely on Edwards cardio, and almost did go -up for him in third round when he was mounted and getting pounded!

However, it's a bittersweet victory for the ellenberger backers, or perhaps for most of them.

Personally, I am a huge fan of shields and I did not expect him to get put out like that, I though it was gonna be a close, back and forth fight where both had their moments. I know a lot of people don't like him and don't like his style, but I still think he is truly one of the best at both ww and mw.

With his father in mind and his acheivements up to this point, its a bit sad to see him where he's at right now. Yet perhaps that was what he needed to re-evaluate what he is gonna do from here on out. Back to the drawing board, which isn't always a bad thing I guess.
