He is cocky but not dumb... I expect a 15 minute kickboxing match with Lawal shooting for takedowns only at the very end of rounds.

Healy seems to be inconsistent...but he has definitely done better once he dropped down to light weight.

Blanco wrestled at 143 only a few years ago and seems to have mostly faced Japanese fighters who were undersized lightweights with minimal wrestling (except for his one true loss where Daisuke pressed the issue to get it to the ground).

To me this is a true 170'er against a true 145'er...the only question is if Healy's chin will hold up if he gets tagged coming in. Blanco has good wrestling, but it may not be adapted to MMA.

Ya he's huge next to him. As a dog I like it, very nice price. Still hard for me to touch it though, I've read some solid breakdowns and although healy is much larger, I think maxi has really nice hips and athleticism, and he could possibly keep it upright with good defensive wrestling mixed with stand up and be too quick for healy. The other dude said healy is slow...while I wouldn't call him slow, maxi is FAST... I agree tho that blanco has received a little too much hype, tomorrow will tell if its deserved...I do think size will make the difference tho and healy smothers him... this is an interesting match up, probably just gonna sit back and enjoy - can't wait

LOVING THIS CARD!!! The more I think about it this is truly a great card, should be some exciting fights

NOW! I started student teaching at high school and am busier than I have ever been in my life.... Its insane!

Haven't had time to do thorough research and haven't pulled the trigger on any of these.

WHo are the pickS???? Let's see some breakdowns, fellas. I am liking mo with regard to price, but its still a tough fight to call.

Liking calvacante at that price too, but I hate betting against a new guy, esepcially one with such a nice wrassling background. But has it transitioned well in mma? He's fought a kickboxer who fights on small circuts with a good record, and outstruck that polish dude in v1y's video. But his other two fights were against a 0-1 opponent and a 1-5 opponent... Hard to tell where this guy is at. Looks good in vids but I'm keeping competition in mind. HUGE step up against raf and I would hate myself if I didn't pull the trigger on raf at that price and he destroys yoel. raf's stand up is aggresive and brutal and he showed good hips against king mo... Where you all at in this one and who you got?

Anyone liking cormier? Why? I was initially on silva, but having second thoughts as I've read some interesting breakdowns.

All in all I obviously can't make up my mind, need some solid picks!!! Let's get some discussion going!!

"Pezao" de Lima as the underdog is a bit of a steal. Top-notch striker and a very good athlete; he's one of the best prospects in MMA as far as I'm concerned. He trains at Barboza MMA - Sao Paulo's best MMA team - who can take a great striker like him and give him a slick ground game to boot. Would certainly be long-termer in the UFC at 205 as of right now, and might even challenge for a title someday.

I say Cormier takes it. Mainly based on the fact that Silvas reaction time is slow. Cormiers is fast. Will help in the striking, but mainly regarding takedowns. Think Cormier will be able to maneuver into beneficial positions/use wrestling techniques and trips before Silva will react, which will be too late. Cormier is Silvas kryptonite here.
Love Lawal too, but have nothing new or interesting to add to that discussion.
