I thought it would be much closer due to the short notice factor.

also a 3 rounder this time, good chance evans tries to avoid what happened last time by taking machida down or pressing him up against the cage for 2 of 3 rounds for the decision

What do you guys think Rashad will do differently? He tried to make Machida come to him in the first fight but obv it didn't work out for him. Can he be successful using a more aggressive approach?

I think I gotta take rashad based on the trilogy factor. UFC loves to set up a good trilogy. Although if machida comes out with Steven seagal again then it's hard to bet against that.

I am a big Machida fan and yes he should obviously be the favorite over Rashad.. but that is definitely overpriced. I'll take Rashad at anything above +200.

Come on, guys. The first fight was way too dominant for the odds to be anything smaller than what they are. Rashad couldn't move forward without getting clipped by Machida. The only time I recall him even touching Machida was when Machida went in for the kill. Machida actually had a takedown attempt that was almost successful. There's no way Rashad can wrestlefuck him when it's certainly possible Machida is the better MMA wrestler. What the hell can Rashad do here? Rashad's not some cardio monster, so the short notice doesn't benefit him like it would someone like Forrest.

Koscheckbaby makes some good points; I really don't like Rashad at all in this fight (and I didn't the first time round, either). Poor gas tank, weak ground control, dodgy chin and an over-reliance on above average boxing. The fact he needlessly dances, jumps and feints makes him easy pickings for Machida's counters. If he does take Machida down, I doubt he keeps him there for long at all. I think he's going to get knocked out again.
Seriously. Throw Machida by TKO into your parlays and smile

i think that line would be right if lyoto had more time to prepare and this was a five round fight.

Rashad at that price is good money. He won't be dumb enough to try and trade with Machida again. Ring rust for Rashad is a factor, but he'll go for the old "dry hump to death" for 3 rounds.
