    Melvin Guillard
It's highly unlikely he can lose to Roller.
Roller cant take him down. Could he even take Taveres down? Nowadays Melvin has some of the best tdd in the game. He's about 10x faster than roller. You think Taveres was owning roller on the feet? Melvin might kill him. Melvin has demonstrated that he now fights with caution and reservation. I dont see him putting himself in a position for Roller to capitalize.

at -265, I already have him in a lot of parlays. I'd have him in my parlays up to -400. Maybe even take him straight later.

I wouldn't say he's close to "lock" status, but I see no reason why he shouldn't be a considerable favourite. The athletic takedown defense he showed off against Lowe and Dunham, combined with the speed and power of his striking, will likely be very problematic for Mr. Roller.

For me, there's too much juice to bet on him straight, but he's a pretty solid addition to any parlay. I'll be looking out for Guillard ITD closer to fight time.

He's the best bet for UFC 132 in my humble opinion.

hmm.. that would really depend on the price. I dont know if its even worth it.

Roller has a rear naked choke (which only comes after he has destroyed someone on the ground), but can he get melvin down? I think we're unlikely to see Roller even getting a hold of Guillard.

What scares me more is his Guillotine, which Melvin has been susceptible to in the past. But will he drop Melvin and come in to finish with it? Will Melvin somehow decide to shoot and get caught in it?

Maybe I'm riding Guillard's nuts too hard. I love his game, and i love his new attitude. It also seems he has managed to increase his IQ by at least 20 points in the past 4 years.
At this point, Melvin looks like a top 3-5 LW to me, and he can beat anyone on any given day.

I think Melvin has been training jujitsu, maybe that training can help him stop the takedown and survive submission attempts.

Melvin will most likely KO/TKO Roller.

Should be a lock, but he's such a roller coaster mentally...

I think Melvin has straightened himself out. He's looked to be a beast lately. I still have a hard time taking him as a large favorite, but I love using him in a few parlays.

Was exciting against Dunham, against Stephens he was quite the opposite

He has really turned it around from being a big mouth punk when he lost to Diaz to an almost humble guy. His maturity should be a lesson for some of these up and comers that haven't proven shit yet.

Im going to go against the grain on this one. I think Roller will be able to take Guillard down and get a sub. I'll be looking for Roller by sub around +400.

No one in recent time have been able to do that effectively. Have you broken it down and come to that conclusion, or is it just a gut feeling?

Melvin is a lock and let me tell you why...The UFC has fighters that they protect and market, and Guillard is one of them.

He's the Paul Daley of the WW division.

He's getting typical UFC treatment...once you beat a good fighter (Jeremy Stephens), the UFC always gives you about 6 cans in a row before a title shot
